It's better to be sorry and stay than to be sorry and go away.

A windy day is not the day for thatching.

Firelight will not let you read fine stories but its warm and you wont see the dust on the floor.

One beetle recognizes another.

In winter the milk goes to the cow's horns.

A wild goose never reared a tame gosling.

A handstaff of holly, a buailtin of hazel,a single sheaf and a clean floor.

Wilful waste makes woeful want

It takes time to build a castle.

What is in the marrow is hard to take out of the bone.

He'd offer you an egg if you promised not to break the shell.

What would a young cat do but eat mice?

Every bird as it is reared and the lark for the bog.

The one who waits the fine day, will get the fine day.

A buckle is a great addition to an old shoe.

Patience can conquer desiny.

:D

Luck: a loser’s excuse for the winner’s position.

You cannot discover new oceans unless you have the courage to lose sight of the shore.

Some successful people succeed because they’re destined to, but most of them succeed because they’re determined to.

The mighty oak was once a little nut that stood its ground.

Failure is caused more by lack of determination than by lack of talent.

Someone who wants to do something will find a way; someone who doesn't will find excuses.

Yes,

Take much with a grain a salt and good sense of humor. You'll know quickly who knows what they are talking about and who offers good advice.

There is alot of experience here and quite a few who will be very quick to let you know that talk is cheap and BS fools no one.

One little piece of advice. People who have content up are respected alot more then those who don't.

Other then that welcome.

Hey, man, we're not always wise-asses here.
:)
It's just that your post was pretty vague. I think all the guys who reponded were doing it in a more friendly way than it might seem.
.
This is the spot where you laugh back.
:)

Reponded? Isn't that when a small spring fed body of water dries up and then later refills?

Axgrinder,
'reponded' . . . ya got me.
:)
Maybe irminsul can give me some English lessons . . . I don't even know what "Hey nonny nonny and a ho yon yon" means . . .
Well, maybe I do . . . let's see . . .
Hey - 'attention'
nonny - 'not your knee'
and - 'plus'
ho - 'prostitute'
yon - Japanese for 'Four"
yon - also short for 'yonder,' or 'over there'
. . .
So, let's see:
"Attention! Not your knee, not your knee. 4 whores over there."
. . . .
hmmmm . . .
Nahhh . . . I still don't get it . . .

Perhaps I should have chosen "Celtic" for a screen name, eh? No... I wasn't stalking you, but I sure am now  have a Guiness on me brother. I had to swear off such libations over a year ago! Guiness just so happened to be one of my favorites, however, incarceration was not  such is life! I drink sh*t loads of coffee now instead  Keep yer timber limber and don't let yer meat loaf.

Yes, I prefer English my self, although I don't prefer the English, if you know what I mean. It's a Brave Heart sort of thing! What can I say, I'm 3.5 Scottish .5 bullshit, I make typos all the time bro. Catch me if you can! Stay strong.

Hey, AxGrinder,
Did you hear about the new organization called "Non-Alcoholics Anonymous?"
It's for people who are addicted to near-beer.
