1) The 80% provide viable labor but at what cost? Down here in H-town they make 9 or 10 bucks an hour and drive $50,000 trucks How do they do that Dog?
Just trying to illustrate that at least 80% aren't coming here to intentionally commit civil crimes...which suggests, they would abide by most laws as the acclimated into the American system. I Know its not any consolation, but it makes a difference in how hard immigration enforcement "might" be, other wise.
2) American businesses can hire teenagers like they did before this plaque came upon our nation.
That's what I said a few posts back... Maybe in some other thread? Either way, we agree on that. In fact,. 9-10.00 Hr is very reasonable for an 18 year old to earn while going to school... So if H- town is paying that rate to illegals, then stop hiring the illegals and hire the kids...
3) If American citizens WAKE UP and demand politicians do something they will!
Agreed... But here';s the problem, your vote is outnumbered by Hispanic votes. Your congressman will go the way of the most votes... Americans can yell about this all they want... But the politicians will just ignore them...
4) American consumers are beginning to understand the importance of American made!
They do until its time to go to Walmart for an errand...
Regarding the $1000,00 Xbox if we deport the 15 million illegals our tax dollars will go farther fixing the economy and more americans will go back to work especially if we demand folks on the gubment TIT do some of the remaining jobs that the teenagers aren't capable of. This will solve a TON of problems! It will teach LAZY kids the value of a dollar earned get them in shape and help keep them out of trouble. Thats the way it was when we were kids. If it worked then it CAN work now!
I'm wit ya!
I am sick to death of the REST OF THE WORLD telling me the things that America can and cannot do! I KNOW we can do without a bunch of LAW BREAKING CRIMINAL ALIENS! The most important quality of a candidate in the up coming 2012 election (to me) is where they stand on illegal immigration. IMO that is the solution to about 60% of America's problems!

That 80% are ALREADY CRIMINALS because they BROKE THE LAW BY COMING HERE! They break the law by NOT PAYING TAXES,

Jeff, please reviesw the information below...then please tell me what part of my argument YOU AINT GETTIN!
In El Paso:
1) I look around me (In EP) and I am clearly the minority (85-90% Hispanic population here..Most of which probably showed up illegally and eventually got naturalized))
2) The town is a prevailing democratic base.
3) Congressman Sylvester Reyes.. controls the votes..(.He is Hispanic...and represents hispanics dilligently)
In Houston:
2006 census: The Hispanic population in Houston is increasing as more immigrants from Latin American countries look for work in the area. As of 2006 the city has the third-largest Hispanic population in the United States. As of the same year Karl Eschbach, a University of Texas Medical Branch demographer, said that the best possible estimate for the number of illegal aliens in the Houston area was about 400,000.[9] This influx of immigrants is partially responsible for Houston having a population younger than the national average.[citation needed] As of 2011, the city is 44% Hispanic. As of 2011, of the city's U.S. citizens that are Hispanic, half are at voting age or older. Many Hispanics in Houston are not U.S. citizens, especially Hispanics living in Gulfton and Spring Branch. As a result, Hispanics have proportionally less representation in the municipal government than other ethnic groups. As of April 2011 two of the Houston City Council members are Hispanic, making up 18% of the council.[10]

Yes there is a large group of Hispanics you said it yourself Dog. That 400,000 number is a LIE! I would not doubt that as of now there is in excess of 1 million illegals in the greater Houston area. The population in the entire Houston area which includes Pasadena, Deer Park, Baytown, Laporte, Pearland, Dickinson, League City, Missouri City, Spring Branch there are really to many to name. The population in this area is in excess of 6 miilion people! If you have 1 million Illegals, and 1 million legal hispanics, 2 million caucasion, 1 million African Americans and 1 million other ethnicity's.
these are just rough estimations of the population here. It becomes pretty clear my vote is not out numbered. To say that I am out numbered is VERY speculative hell its basically your assumption. One I completely disagree with!
I'll put it to you like this. Lets see who wins the Presidency in 2012 then tell me I am out numbered

Jeff, do ya think that the actual head count is what makes a difference here? Have you forgotten about the electoral college?
A result of the present functionality of the Electoral College is that the national popular vote bears no legal or factual significance on determining the outcome of the election. Since the national popular vote is irrelevant, both voters and candidates are assumed to base their campaign strategies around the existence of the Electoral College; any close race has candidates campaigning to maximize electoral votes by capturing coveted swing states, not to maximize national popular vote totals.

Let me put this as plain as my texas sized mind can express it (Enter Voice of Leghorn FogHorn)
Now looky heah... I say...looky heah... boy!... Ah got 538 ...I say...538 electors ...all gitten paid in...I say .... gitten paid in tamales and mazzaradis! Heh heh heh...! Now, how many of them chicken-hawks do ah need in TEXAS to vote againstyou and One million Huckleberry ...I say Huckleberry Hound Dawgs...?
Heh heh heh! (The boy might be havin' himself an epiphany right about now...)
AH only need half O' 34 + 1, boy! ...Do the ma...I say ...do the math and see for yorself It dont take ...I say ... It dont take no Racketeer scientist to figure out that 18 electors is biggah than 1 million votahs... when you consider .:
Republicans have harped on "amnesty" and deployed some heated, anti-illegal-immigrant rhetoric in recent years; Perry, when confronted on his alleged coddling of illegals, has at his disposal a few practiced lines about Latino contributions to Texas and its economy. Despite the rough treatment Perry received over in-state tuition, Republicans would do well to nominate a White House hopeful with more liberal immigration views and more experience courting Hispanic votes.
America's Hispanic population is growing swiftly, and Hispanics' electoral significance is growing along with it. Hispanics make up 16 percent of the U.S. population, according to the 2010 Census. Between 2006 and 2010, the number of eligible Hispanic voters grew by 23 percent, the Pew Hispanic Center reports, increasing from 17.3 million to 21.3 million nationwide.
Most of those votes went to Democrats, who enjoy a massive edge: Another Pew study, published a month before Election Day 2010, showed that 65 percent of registered Latino voters preferred Democrats, while 22 percent preferred Republicans.
It's a common misconception that the Latino vote is driven exclusively by immigration policy. Education, jobs, and health care overwhelmingly trumped education as voting issues for Hispanics in October, according to Pew:

YOUR VOTE IS OUT NUMBERED!
My experience in residential concrete foundation work was an employer who employed 95% Hispanics for the low dollar. Pissed you cay? Well, If you would have bought one of these homes, the one problem with one of those homes would not involve the foundations. Those South Americans put pride in their craft. Excellent carpenters. Americans need to step up to the plate and hit the home runs we used to be known for.

Dog, I have not forgotten about the electoral college. My point is that only a certain percentage of the hispanic population is ELIGABLE to vote! That is what dictates the Electoral vote! The problem in this debate between you and I is there is a subjective difference of opinions as to what that percentage is! You will NEVER convince me (not in a million years) that my vote is out numbered! It is also obvious that I am not going to convince you. I guess we can as they say "agree to disagree"!
This little debate has gone on probably to long and I am sure the good people here at B.M. are starting to get tired of it. After your next rebuttal I will comment no further on this topic!

Una mas, por favor!
The U.S will be 1/3 Hispanic by 2035. Better brush up on your Spanish.
It's good thing we don't determine citizenship based on English language skills, most of you would be deported.

When my son graduated 11th grade, he tried to take Spanish as an elective in the 12th. Knowing often times we Americans may need to work a lot with the Latino influence. Spanish was full, so he took French.

Jesus would get me a job or money in this place before I lost my mind. It may be too late.
Either way, I'm puttin' it on his shoulders. Too much to ask? Time will tell. Yet, another page is turned. It may be my sins keeping me from just holding down the jobless fort.

My 2 cents on the Mexicans, I find them
to be like any other race. The majority of
them are good hardworking people. I've
had many of these Mexicans as customers,
and they were nice and respectable, and
their money is green. Lord those Mexicans
use to buy the chinese tools, so I'd buy
from the chinese and sell to the mexicans.
As a group the mexicans are a very clean
and health conscious people.
