Dog, you would not recognize Houston! So much has changed here!
One thing that has improved is the BEAUTIFUL Houston (downtown skyline)
My God I helped build it! I have lived here my whole life and it just keeps getting better!
If you guys have never been to Houston this place has a magic you just have to experience! You have to land Intercon. head south toward my favorite Island! As you approach the Pierce Elevated Oh Yeah! It has to be at night! 8) 8) 8)

I can imagine...Maybe I'll takea weekend off and fly down there. I have two step Brothers that live there... I was actually born there..(The old Hermann Hospital). When I lived there as 22+ I had a job downtown for a while...and it was amazing back then...

If you come back home look me up! If your stepbro's place is full we'll make room for you here close to the island!

This song has elements that make me feel like it is about two people interacting. One is the guy who just got home after going to the store with good intentions of getting everything on his wife's shopping list, but forgot the mayonnaise, which sends her into a ranting tizzy. "Get back out there and get that mayonnaise and don't come back without it!" Finishing with his "I'm sorry, it won't happen again." returning everything back to normal. Listen to it one more time. I wonder if Mr. Williams was recently divorced when he wrote it, or soon after?

His bio says that he was first married to Sheila Ann Massey in 1961. It doesn't say when he was divorced (but was), then prepared to marry again in 1971 to Katherine Elizabeth Kahn, but didn't until 1994 and lasted 10 years.

I have a story to tell, but I don't know whether there is any merit to it. I'm a Post Office window clerk in Bloomington, IN. A while back, a customer brought in some envelopes to mail, and the name on the return address was Mason Williams. I jokingly remarked, "Classical Gas", and she said, "I'll have to tell him you said that. He's always surprised when somebody remembers."

I remember a guy that had a part in a large production movie- The Final Countdown. A tale of an Aircraft carrier that went back in time to the day of Dec. 7th, 1941.Most of you may remember that movie. During events unfolding, the ship went to General Quarters. As the ship locked down the hatches, a scene where the mail clerk closes his window. That was his less than 2 seconds of fame.

Wow! What a fantastic memory, bite. In my job I meet all kinds of people. It's been a great learning experience. Bloomington is a college town, so I'm exposed to a lot of different cultures/backgrounds. It affords a lot of opportunity to meet interesting people and hear what they do.
