Per the redressing - a few spots during bending are starting to a little "grind" feeling. I suspect that if I don't polish out those rough spots, the frets will eat my strings alive :)

So yah - thanks. I wasn't sure if refretting was worth while - it's a cheapo guitar, so I'll probably gettem polished out and buy a new $200 dollar wonder guitar if I detect failure :)

Thanks!

You can of course also just replace the neck... Now, on the news, I heard something about the Gibson Mfgs taking a spanking by the green meanies about using some rare wood on the endangered list.. (If that's what its caled) ... If it'strue, now would be the time to invest in that rare wood...before some goody two-shoe in DC passes a law that makes it illegal to cut that wood down or import it...

i wish my frets lasted 20 to 50 years , more like about 2 to 5 years for me , i re-fret in stainless steel now ,they should last a good 10 years for me "just guessing" , i have a warmoth neck on my tele that i have been hammering on the stainless frets for about 2 years and they show only a slight amount of wear , the tone is different but worth the trade off for me anyway .
