Tried to Install this Version (6b) ..

1) Installed Successfully
2) Registration went belly up
3) Called support (They take the weekends off)
4) Went online, re-registere and successfully got the Activation Code
5) Could not initiate the activation Window
6) Uninstalled product (was gonna reinstall)
7) Could not reinstall product (Launcher wont launch now)
8) Cleaned registry
9) rebooted
10) Still cant install the product now..

Its gotten so bad in this instance, That I honestly don't know whether to blame my PC or the software... I want to throw them both out the window, actually.

One more example of how severely bad the quality of service and products has become in America. Amateurs Every-f**cking where, taking our money from us and in exchange, delivering sh*t sandwiches to us.

Before I take a blow-torch to the DVD and send the ashes to the execs at Sony, , is there a possibility of a fix for this? Has anyone experienced this issue, or am I simply alone here?

Here how much Sony gives a f*ck , whether or not the product works...The did not offer the explanation you just gave... Instead, I got this message when I inquired about the problem:

Your question hasn't been submitted yet.
We noticed that you chose ACID Music Studio 6.0 as the product. This is a legacy product which is no longer eligible for phone or e-mail technical support. Click here for a full list of supported products. You might consider these options for support:

Search our knowledgebase for an answer.

Post a question on our online product forum.

Consult the help files within the software.

You might also use this as an opportunity to upgrade to the most recent version of ACID. You will benefit from new features and improved workflow. Not to mention, you instantly become eligible for technical support. Click here to purchase your upgrade.

I wrote to the Sony Execs: (Had to get this off my chest..Its stupid and petty but damn was I annoyed...

Code: Select allGreetings

Writing to say how utterly disgusted I am with Sony for the shenanigans you guys just pulled on me.

I purchased SONY Acid Music studio 6b about 3- 4 years ago.  Back then I ran XP on the computer.  But eventually changed to Vista .   Never got around to re installing the product on the new PC... Today I finally attempted to install it.
It does not run or work in any shape or fashion.

When I re-registered the product, I jumped through a lot of your stupid hoops to get the activation key.  Only one problem,  can't run the software to use the key.  Technical issue on me, you say?  Nope, Its a marketing issue, on you.

Aside form your piss-poor schedule for technical support, I also learned something else about you guys when i received the following message from your support, after I submitted my Q about the problem:

Yeah Thanks a lot guys!  Good to know I can't rely on your product support anymore...(This, so you can get me to buy your upgrade!?).

You are familiar with Facebook?    Well, I have about 2500 friends i'm gonna tell about this crap.  Some of them have up to 5000 friends, whom they will tell.

In addition, I am well acquainted with many professionals/Engineers and musicians in my community, who would normally fall into your market niche (But not anymore...after I get through alerting them about your greedy approach to customer service)

Thanks so much for your greed...and for your lack of Q.O.S.  (Quality of Service) .   Be assured, after this railroading on your part, I will NEVER purchase anything form Sony again!

Y'all have a nice day now.

Dog, the only reason they are giving you a tough time,, is because of your new avatar on band mix. I'm sure even Klugmo would agree.

Sony execs love BUNNIES. :)

I guess I'd reccomend installing software the same day you buy it. Then you can install any updates to it as they come out. Waiting a couple years is a bit of a stretch, isn't it?
Other than that - be sure to get current software designed for your operating system.
Anyway - good luck with recording.
