It went very well, save for a few minor sound glitches. (We actually had done a good sound check, but shortly after that, everything went to hell in a hand basket with all the other musicians and their equipments...

Was only enough time allotted for one song...The audience received my song very well. And the assist-coordinator asked me back to the next event, as a feature (20-30 minutes) :)

Also met the coordinator, who has agreed to work with me on that song-writing contest that I had mentioned earlier. This is really cool ,cause the guy is very well connected, locally.

All in all; it was a great evening... And I met all my goals... Now continue on to the next set... :) I have some video , soon as I do the cut & edit stuff, will post it .

It was a first for me... Many mistakes, many lessons...but had to start some where

You have a great voice. Thanks for sharing the video. Something one of my instructors told me was you gotta kiss your microphone :) Helps prevent feedback and it regulates your volume because you keep a consistent distance from the mic. Great performance. You look at ease on stage - I think the next few open mics you do, you'll get into a groove and really start to shine. Keep sharing videos! :!:

PD,
8) I liked it. Seemed like the crowd did as well.
If I had walked into a club not knowing you and saw that performance you would've gotten a nice applause from me. Would've liked to hear more.
You don't need no stinkin bass playa!!

Good job Dog, you did seem comfortable. Most sound guys put the music in
front of the vocals. They just don't get it.

By the way could you change your Avatar to something else.
That little bunny just aint right :D

Oh, and next time dont wear the Bert and Ernie shirt.

Hey I'm opinionated go figure.

Thanks Klugmo. : )

The Bunny stays... That way nobody can stay mad at me for long ;)

The Bert & Ernie Shirt ...ha ha yeah now that you mention it... (But it was a better option than the Tuxedo T-shirt I have. LOL!

Thanks SirJamsalot. I totally will try that with the mic, like you suggested. Actually, I'm thinking of investing in a really good vocal mic (The one I used here was the house mic) ... I have even considered wireless... Cause I do like to move around a little... I think you are right, the territory gets more familiar and soon I will "own" the room" This was just getting my toes wet...

Posting audio, video, and photos on here is what makes this a real musicians site.

Don't give a flying crap what the naysayers think.

People ... you are what makes Bandmix, ROCK!
