One of the "guys" showing up to jam with my GARAGE band friends is a keyboard player named Rich. Little back round info, Rich is a wealth of cover songs but he also has the skill to really improvise and be creative. I consider this a unique ability in any great player. He is not stuck in modes and scales and, this is what most players just don't get. He can create.
However,, Friday he called the bass player 3 times he was so stoked to jam.
He never showed. Now this is what's sad.
He just got out of the can for his 3rd DWI. He has no license, and as the bass player put it, he probably had a few thinking about having a good jam, and was probably sleeping it off.
These guys are a blast, the more I hang out the more I find out. They have been playing together for more than 20 years. Funny but sad.

Don't argue with a stupid person. They will pull you down to their level... And beat you with experience..."Samuel Langhorne Clemens"
