Looking at my profile today as I do to see whom has visited of late so that I might send them a THANK YOU message.

I had to wonder ... from another persons perspective.

My photos run a chronological order in some sense.

Older photos of before we were even a " Band ".
Before we had Eric on bass.
Before the name stuck to us from an after rehearsal conversation.

This is probably not obvious to the casual observer ?
( take a look and see what I mean )
I have a lot of photos from rehearsals and gigs.

Should I leave it as is ?

Or should I update the photos to give an essence of how the band is now?

I like the " historical perspective " because I have some sentimental attachment.
But ... the profile is not there for me.

So what do you think ?

NKF-The Early Years.
NKF-The Middle Years.
NKF-The Final Years

Produce a three part documentary.

In all seriousness you organize it any way you want. It's your band.

True ...

But I have to wonder if I am getting the effect I want or the effect we need.

How do you want it to effect people? Of course yours is a message band. Perhaps sprinkle segments of your song lyrics between pics? Start with early pics, early songs. Progress to more recent pics, lyrics? Mix in quotes from the Bible where appropriate? There's a lot you can do. What do your bandmates think?

Wow Sans that’s a lot of pictures. I like it the way it is. :)

Let the viewer conjure their own story and chronology. This way no matter what, it works for them. Like reading a book using imagination versus watching a movie, where the visual is scripted.

I like seeing old and new pictures. You'll see some on our sites that go back to the 90's.

I like the history and I enjoy looking at your pics, Sans. The reason I like looking at the historical progression isn't so much that it represents your outstanding band of friends. But it represents Bandmix and what is possible from being a member here. Too often, we read stuff from disgruntled musicians who claim that bandmix is useless. This proves the opposite to be true. Plus your band was built , almost entirely, through bandmix if I am not mistaken. Bandmix should do some kind of an interview with NKF...just sayin. Don't change a thing George.

If you are representing the band through a collage, then chronology makes no difference. (The audience can ferret out what sticks in their own memories or what is a new discovery for them) .

Most Biographical themes rely on some chronology. Do you want a loosely defined theme? Than hybridize the pics order... Some chronological, some not. For instance, your gig in the park last month... The pics capture the overall experience and its not necessrary to chrono the song list events in them.

But maybe you have a story about getting to the park that day..., so you would group those pics in an order that makes sense, leading up to a group of pictures that reflect general, over all experience.

In the bigger scheme, Chrono does not always reflect the appropriate order of precedence in a given theme expression. Just take a look at the Movie: Pulp Fiction, and you'll know what I mean.

I really appreciate everyone's input.
It would seem that the site has the desired effect as it stands.
I may, once I reach my limit of photos, simply rotate some of the newer photos with even more recent shots.
And leave those from the formative days stand.

I actually started with a Strat Jeff.
I still have her and play her as a back up guitar.

She is a discontinued Mexi " DELUXE " with a chrome pick guard.
It was a limited run with a sister model in white, also with the chrome pic guard.
I replaced the two humbuckers with some EMGs as the original Fender pups were not even potted.

I also have a red / white Strat Jr.
Another discontinued model, as is my Goddess.
Seems like ever time I but a guitar they discontinue it.
Maybe some day they will be worth some money ??
But I'm not holding my breath.
