Thats sad, I could never wish anyone driving into a town and the only marker is a water tower or your Nazi flag. I think church buildings are beautiful and most of the people inside are the same. "All we need is love"

That's bullshit lady. HE died to give it to you.

It's not HIS fault we screw it up.

Really sad VI. You have a LOT of talent. You up here looking for some friends? Just sad you are filled with the anger you have. Politics are one thing. There isn't one person here that I would say I hate. Some I don't really love, but that doesn't mean I'm gonna hit the ignore button.

You think about it, got some great no BS musicians up here that share some WONDERFUL moments! PS please don't dis our love of God, wouldn't do that to you.

I hated religion when I was an atheist too. Once I became a believer, I hated it even more. I'd have to say that I agree with his statement (as given) to a degree he probably wouldn't acknowledge.

There is a point at which religion and faith are separate. Religion is manipulation and control whereas faith is grace and mercy.

It's hard to see the difference from the outside though.

I,m not PWI today and sort of understand where she's coming from I think.

But I heard a man on the radio today say that you cannot fault a religion for an individuals actions.

Sort of like blaming the gun for murder.

It is a damn shame what some people do in the name of religion.

In a way Jesus himself was anti religion.

Was his non observance of the Sabbath day that got him murdered by the Sadducee.

Of course ... that was the plan all along. 8)

He did observe the Sabbath without fail or error, just not as the religious manipulators wanted it done.

No, they hated Him because He had the nerve to call God "Father", but that has nothing to do with the nutcase in Norway. He is most definitely NOT a christian!

In his own words...
"Regarding my personal relationship with God, I guess I'm not an excessively religious man. I am first and foremost a man of logic. If you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and God then you are a religious Christian. Myself and many more like me do not necessarily have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and God."
Doesn't sound to me like he was much of anything besides a maniac.

I know I wouldn't be walking and talking if he hadn't helped me when he did.

Yeah I believe in god. He's a bit of a absentee landlord, but he means well.

He also has a really aberrant sense of humor.

Just start watching for coincidence and connect the dots as if it wasn't random, you'll get a better mental picture of what you are up against.

LOL Aberrant sense of humor. Yeah ... for sure ...

Absentee ? no, not at all.
We are given freedom of choice.

The Spirit speaks with me daily ... we ( mankind ) have just forgotten how to listen.

Some of my personal " wake up calls " have been extremity painful either physically or emotionally, and even life threatening.

I find the more I choose to attempt to remain on the lighted path the more the demons like to throw temptations at me.

It is the way of it.

Enlightenment is definitely NOT random. There IS a Holy Spirit. Many non-believers seek a scientific, statistically valid definition of God, the Holy Spirit, Jesus. They want mathematical proof. The universe God created is a bit too complicated mathematically for us mortals to scientifically comprehend. You can scoff all you want. You are also in the right when hating anybody who MISINTERPRETS any religion. True believers who follow the peaceful teachings of any religion and benefit those around them are worthy of the highest respect. Dwelling on the bad ones may blind you of the good ones. The really religious people who benefit others BY EXAMPLE are the ones I admire the most. Keep an open mind and ADMIRE the humble believers who spread their religion by PEACEFUL influence...
