Right, I was thinking that I sounded like a self-preserved old man earlier on in my posts. Seriously though, I see a sickening amount of texting in the town I live in, and you don't have to be out that long to see it. I live in a town where a lot of people are well-off, and there's a lot of surrounding businesses. I remember sitting with someone playing cards, and we played a game to see who could count the first 10 of their chosen car. I picked BMW, and the other person picked Mercedez...I lost in less than 10 minutes.

So, yeah, it's all over this town. I'm sure that the fact that there's an Apple store within 3 blocks of my street contributes to this.

Lots of posts noting its common place. Though makes me wonder how many go out in the sunlight day after day =). I only see maybe a few people on a phone, and/or texting during my days. And I have to be out a lot. My job requires the travel and exposure to social orders -lol-. I also lived near Atlanta and it wasn't like this huge plague. I think some try to make a mountain out of a mole hill.

True you will find people as stated in other people's posts. Though this isn't a majority or common place.

Why not? Evidently he hasn't passed though the midwest recently. Ever mall, grocery store, stop light, and on and on people are messing with cell phones and whatever. So much that is is getting risky to ride a motorcycle in town anymore.

I saw a bumper sticker the other day.... "Honk if you love Jesus... Text if you want to meet him".

When they passed the law, 'No Texting While Driving" I thought about how everyone just quit smoking pot back when that became illegal
