Proof That MTV Musicians Can Suffer From Extreme Delusion ??????
Proof? Don't we all suffer from extreme delusion? I thought that was part of the package when we became musicians.

I do NOT suffer from delusion. I enjoy every moment of it.

I talked to a fellow today about a bass job. Playing blues which is fun. I'm conflicted - a) I'm playing lead guitar now, and b) I'm trying to put my own project together with originals.
but c) and this is the big one - I need to get out there and play. And lead guitar or not - I still love playing my bass.
The deal would be I help him kick off his project and play bass until he finds someone else down the road and he helps me with my project.
what to do eh? I'm leaning that way. I guess I'll know after we do our first rehearsal with a drummer.
cheers

Mike, I read what you wrote and that sounds like "getting screwed" all over it. The "help me" then "I'll help you." Yeah, uh-huh, unless you want to be in this cat's band, or you really really like him, I'd move on.
All I saw was "Lil Wayne" and this already bad article just fell from the gutter into the sewer.
I wish someone would tell people that rap is just dead.
Bless them.

Chaeya, it's worse...it's about Limp Bizkit putting out a new double Cd. Lil Wayne is just a guest. LB needs to realize that there is no comeback for them in this lifetime. They had thier run, now its long over with. They will not get a slew of new fans, and I'm sure a lot of old fans have grown out of their music. Only closet listeners will buy this, and most likely download it to save them from embarassment of being looked at by the cashier, or anyone in the store. A Double CD is a waste of glass and plastic.
There are good and bad cases of delusion. Some cases are better not acted upon from the risk of reality taking ove...like the band in this article.

Yeah. The thought had crossed my mind. <sigh>

Yeah and I think the biggest problem is they lost that momentum they had of not putting out the one CD when they could and kept delaying it. Fred sounds wishy washy as hell and then he's turning around and pissing off the remaining fans they got.
I never liked them, they were always lame to me. Out of all the rock rap folks I liked Rage Against the Machine, Linkin Park and dare I say, I liked Kid Rock.

Mike,
I did that for a friend, it was refreshing and fun (I was on Piano) I did not stick with it once he was going but it was worth the experience.
