It does piss me off that we were giving so much money to Egypt every year, that wasn't being used for the citizens of Egypt.

That is a pretty generalized statement Zip. Not all muslims are radicals and want to take over the world ... that would be like saying radical christians will take over the US ... the problem is that the majority of people in the US are not radical ... and it's same in the muslim world. All they want is the same as most people want ... a job, food on the table, a roof over their heads, family ... and no corruption.

Rarely are the leaders of revolutions there for the people. Most always they are backed by a small group of power mongers within an existing government and those who pull their strings... it's just the way it is and has been for centuries.

Before Tunisia happened there was absolutely NO warning that anything like this was about to happen. I never heard a report there was anything brewing in ANY Arab country. Don't you think this entire episode is just a bit suspicious? Who's really responsible for all this? Should the United States be on extreme alert for events to happen that will be extremely detrimental to our national security? It's hard for me to believe that ALL these uprisings are spontaneous and that moderate forces are at the root of it all. Would this have happened if a more conservative President were in office? Is the "democracy movement" in realaity a cover for a "hard line Islamic revolution in all these countries? Something is not kosher here and I suspect the worse...
