Hey guys,

Christian, Spiritual or Just Thoughts from a well meaning soul...

They all help, they all count.

Our lead guitarist Gary, was in a serious motor vehicle accident. He is ok, thank God, but his arm is broken below the shoulder as well as a broken finger. He will probably require a pin in his arm, and surgery on his shoulder. He is in alot of pain, and was beat up pretty badly.

Someone rear-ended his pick up, on the way home from church, and the impact was so strong, it flipped his truck 3 times. He was NOT wearing a seat belt and was thrown all over the truck, as it rolled 3 times. Luckily his wife and son were not in the truck with him. His truck is totalled, and I have no idea if the other guy had insurance or not. But no seat belt, it could have been MUCH worse.

Your thoughts and prayers are VERY much appreciated right now.

He was on the phone with me just before the accident and was telling me how happy he was that some people from his church had bought tickets to the Taylor Festival, which we were scheduled to play this Saturday, to raise money for 6 year old Tasylor, who is fighting for her life with multiple tumors on her brain and spine.

His dad talked with him at the hospital (He's home now though, awaiting surgery) and Gary was most upset that he wouldn't be able to play for little Taylor, like he was letting her down.

We're just grateful he's alive still.

Thanks to everyone for your thoughts and prayers.

Visited Gary today. He's in alot of pain, but feeling humble and grateful he's still alive, and that he should gain full use of his arm and hand back.

He insisted that we play Taylor's event, and keep our committment to her. The lead guitarist of Six Strings South, has offered to try and learn a set of our music, enough to fake his way through it, to help us out. If Gary is up to it, he is gonna be onstage with us, broken arm and all, to be with his brothers for Taylor!

I think this band will be even stronger in the end!

When your band is like your family, it don't get much better than that!

Well brother,

You are ABSOLUTELY right about the spiritual battle in this thing. I'm not sure why this event for this little girl is important enough for so much negative spiritual energy to be aligned against it, but it is. I told the band a week or two ago that I could "feel" something coming against this thing, trying to stop all the good work trying to be done for this little girl.

A retired Marine, 13 years active duty, has donated use of his land for this event. He has 51 acres. And no sooner had he done this, that a "neighbor" complained to the Sheriff that he didn't want this one day event to take place near his house (his house is a quarter mile away). Even though he KNEW what the event was for. A little 6 year old girl fighting for her life, with brain and spinal cancer.

The Sheriff told him that it was private property and there was nothing he could do about it. That the Marine had a right to have a private event on his land, as long as the bands stopped playing by 11pm, which is when the noise ordinance kicks in. We thought that was the end of it, but no.... This "neighbor's" wife is on the city council, or some city board there, and they decided they would instead attack the Marine's tax exempt status for farm land, or conservancy status, which if successful, would mean thousands and thousands of dollars of back taxes and future taxes, which meant he may have to sell his land off. The Marine told me he that this event was going on as planned, no matter what it cost him. He made a promise to God to help this little girl, and whether it cost him his land or not, he was going to follow through.

There was a city council meeting on the matter, and the judge ruled in favor of the Marine. There were cheers throughout the court room. A retired Sheriff approached the Marine after the court case was won, and asked him "What idiot would bring something like this to court, with a little girl's life on the line?" And the wife of the "neighbor" said "It was us who brought the case!" He told her: "What's wrong with you?" and then he turned to the marine and right in front of her said "You know what? I'm gonna call my off-duty police friends, and we'll get a bunch of them out there for you, to help with security!"

And then of course, the accident with our guitarist happened. We visited him the other night, and he insisted, that we honor our committment as a band, to this little girl, even without him. Since then, a lead guitarist for another band playing there, had me email him all our originals we have recorded, and he is putting in overtime (he's also in the middle of persuing his Masters degree in medicine) and he is going to try and learn a set of our originals and fill in on lead guitar for us, even as he plays 3 sets that day with his own band!

We felt at first that there were enough bands to cover things, and we thought about dropping out, but then we realized that it really was a spiritual battle going on, and that we would bring a measure of victory over that, just by showing up, no matter what, even if we were banging on washboards.

We asked our own Lead Guitarist Gary, to be with us onstage, if at all possible, depending on the pain he was in. I joked that I would get him a Kazoo to play, and told him I'd put it through a distortion pedal. Then I said "On second thought, better not, what if it sounds better than you normally do?" LMAO

Gary laughed his ass off with us all over that. But it put a smile on his face. And we agreed, this is only gonna make this band stronger!

So, thanks again to you brother for your words, and for everyones prayers for Gary and Taylor, and our band. Don't stop now, there may be more trials to come. But we're believing in God to come through for Taylor, and for us as well.

We wrote and recorded the song to bring attention to her cause. It has helped do that already. 5 local radio stations have played it so far.

We headlined a benefit concert for her, with another band's lead guitarist filling in for Gary, our lead guitarist. This dude learned a set and a half of our music in just a few days, and did a great job!

The studio that we record at, came through, and donated a bunch of CD's with full color printing of Taylor on them, and a graphics company that we have a great relationship with, created a flash presentation with Taylor's pictures and story, along with a letter from the band, etc... for added value to the CD's, so people could play it in their computers as well as listen on CD players. The studio donated them, and we gave them to Taylor's family to sell at her event, to raise extra money for them.

They raised about 8,000 bucks in all, which wasn't bad for a small town in Georgia and a one day event. The family was in tears, and truly grateful. We have been told that the song has really lifted Taylor's spirits and the whole family as well. Our studio is also providing another 200 CD's to supporters of Taylor at cost, and they are shipping them to Savannah for additional fundraising events going on there for Taylor.

We told Taylor that we decided to include her song on our forthcoming CD as well, and she nearly flipped, she was so excited. LOL

We'll be donating a dollar of every CD sold to Taylor's fund.

So, yes, "ALL" proceeds that song has generated or will generate, are for the family's financial needs alone.

We really needed to record some more of our rockin' songs, to help get us closer to completing this album, but we felt this was more important, and sidelined our band's needs temporarily.

And thanks for the compliments to the band, and especially for your prayers for Taylor!

I talked to her dad just this afternoon, and he says she is having some good days right now, and they are hoping for some positive reports when she goes back in for more chemo treatments.

Bob, thank you brother!

God, being our Father, respects a few "demands" from his children, when they are for good. I usually let Him do the demanding, but I must admit, I've demanded a few things myself on occassion, for the greater good, and He has NEVER let me down.

Be well my friend, and thanks again for that!
