Thanks everybody! You know, I'm starting to realize that I didn't necessarily land on easy street. Now, the fun part is trying to keep people interested enough to get to the first practice. So far, I haven't heard anything good or bad from the drummer. One bass player didn't call last weekend like he said. And, i just got an email from a new bass player. I hope I have a full 3 piece by the end of this month. This is the part where I learn patience and persistence at the same time.

I was wondering: Since I'm going to be recording and sending riffs to people to learn before practice, wouldn't it be wise to copyright my ideas? I have the forms at home.

Thought so...thanks for the confirmation! I called the office after reading thi response, and after 30 mins. i got a rep. Apparently it's real easy, and more affordable if you do it one particular way: Register online, then request a packing slip so you don't have to send a ton of files online. The amount you can mail is unlimited too!

Here's the catch. If you don't register online, it's $65, but online is $35. Cool thing is I can send already copied stuff just like I did it by mail.

I'm sure some of you would just prefer to do it all online, but for me it would be a pain, cause I have a swarm of stuff...but I already have it on disc.

Chris, you can upload mp3 right to the site if you want to, or mail it in. Just go to copyright.gov and all the info will be laid out right there. But yeah, the representative confirmed that you can also request a slip and mail in your disc if you register online, it will save you about $30 extra bucks.

Sans, my dad teaches two-step-westcoast swing, man, you name it! I tripped out when I saw him dance for the first time. Before he got re-married, he didn't even know how to dance, now he's all slick...haha! And thanks, I will kick as much booty as possible. I'm still waiting for responses, while hoping I don't seem over-anxious to any of these guys.
