A near unanimous victory for Alexander and the Greats in Round 1 of the Battle of the Bands. With fisherman bob (me) on bass and the great Terry Stanley on drums, phenom 17 year old Alexander Harrison has one of the best rhythm sections of any band, anywhere. Hopefully I can get pics and post. Unfortunately I'm not very computer savvy so I'll have to enlist help to do it. We performed five originals and two covers, I guarantee most of the audience had no idea we were playing originals, they are THAT GOOD. The contest organizer afterwards said I was friggin awesome. I told him I've been playing bass for 30 years. He said "I can't hardly tell..."

That's pretty impressive, bob! Your excitement over this trio seems justified. Keep the good stuff happening!

Congrats Bob, go for it. I haven't done a battle of the bands in many, many moon.

When is round 2?
Where is round 2 gonna be at?

I believe July 3 at The Beaumont Club in the Westport entertainment district Kansas City, Mo. That's a BIG venue, lots of famous national acts perform there. Plenty of time to create another killer set. We're starting to get some other gigs, have a private party lined up, playing at a big outdoor festival end of April, at my annual disc golf event in August.

Great stuff Bob, congrats man! It’s great to hear you’re having success through originals too.
