KFC

Did I hear on the news that KFC changed its slogan to "We gone"

I heard something like they were closing, but I was too far away in the other room to hear it all. If so, bummers. They made some real greasy stuff. Kinda like the Antiboma health food. Anyone else hear something about that?

Haven't heard that one, SG. Couldn't find any info on Google either.

Perhaps it's just a local unit closing...

We've had a Denny's close in my town. They claimed they couldn't get adequate mgmt personnel to do the job, in the local rag. Same thing happened at two other fast food joints.

Haaven't heard anything about it either. Nothing lasts forever. I don't mind KFC. I prefer Popeye's mild chicken or Chick Fil A, but KFC isn't bad. Popeye's has a really cool music station that I believe is their own. If you ever eat there the music is really interesting. I wonder if they would play some of my songs?

Maybe it was local. I guess I'll have to go look and see if they are still around. I could understand why they would close. It costs so much to eat out with the higher food prices that I think a lot of places will shut down. If they did, I think that is really racist. :)

It seems like lately that the restaurants I eat at (too frequently) seem MORE crowded, not LESS.

That's because ppl are spending so much time working, bob, that they don't have the TIME to cook at home. This is not a sign of a recovering economy!

And that's just how the corp world likes it. Swing shifts, mandatory OT, ruin of the unions, cost-cutting measures that even affect the health & safety of the workers, & while the ppl get cornered by their jobs, the gov't has been pushed into cutting so many services that ppl can't even turn there for help when their jobs are sent overseas, or they are erased so that another worker can do double the work for 1/2 the return.

Sweet situation, eh, if you're a big investor in any big corp.

I believe the chickens once went on strike at the Perdue Chicken Company and they carried signs saying "Topple Cruel Perdue..."
