Darrin K Wells is a local singer/songwriter/guitarist who's also an agent. His style is more country than I'm used to but he recruited me to lay down some bass-lines. He's slowly putting together a CD, I'll ask his permission to post some finished products here. He's got a fine singer laying vocals down, Forrest Faler (the man's got a beautiful voice) and a country picker Phil Mires on guitar adding some fills. Might take a few months but the results should be worth it. Going to have my band back him up at a gig in March. We'll play a little bit of everything, rock, blues, country, accoustic originals, maybe even a few of my blues originals. The more gigs the better. Doesn't matter the genre, a little extra exposure and $$$ is always helpful. Going to participate in a Battle of the Bands with the youngster (blues/rock). Could win 20 hours of studio time. We're going to make the judges have a hard time not to pick us as winners, I guarantee it. This year is "irons in the fire" year for me. I need to get busy again...

This is good news. Not only for you but for music as a whole. Despite our economic situation I am seeing things open up a bit. People finding a way when the door seems shut.
It is the spirit of free men making it work everywhere you look.

Congratulations Bob !

Sounds good Bob. I hope to hear some of it.

Colabs like that can be fun when the right material and musicians come together. :)

Nice!

This year seems to be working out for a lot of musicians I know of. :) 2010 was stagnant.

Yea, that's him. I don't even think he knows his Myspace page exists. The accoustic tune "Face the Truth" is Darrin on guitar & Forrest Faler on vocals. Forrest has a beautiful voice as you can tell. Darrin's got a Facebook page that he's getting active with. I've got a Facebook page (Robert Alan Hayett) and Forrest has one (Forrest Faler). I haven't got too much music on there but that's going to change big time in '11. Mainly I'm adding the Youtube vids I do (hopefully) with Alexander Harrison (stud guitarist). Darrin will be using me on all of his new CD project. I may do a few gigs with him and Forrest this next year. My main project is with Alexander. You'll see why in the future. We just added Terry Stanley on drums. We are going to ROAST people...
