Your comments (opinions) are a perfect example of what I said about "interpretation of scriptures", Does a Baptist believe you're baptized if water was just poured over your head in a baptism ritual?....No, you are not baptized. And yet, they are Christian, who interpret John's "rite of passage" in a fundamental, literal way.
Well, I appreciate the fact that you can see the source of the many denominations - usually a difference in major doctrines like baptism, sola scriptura, free will, etc.
The RC however, has declared explicitly that Christians are not Catholics, and as such are subject to hell unless they return to the RC. So that's not a matter of finding nuances in scripture - it's a declaration of one church (Catholic) of which there are no sub-denominations, and Protestants.
Yeah, well....you can have your religion, if thats what you need. They can all sort it out however way it benefits their beliefs, and agendas....as long as they keep me out of it. And keep it out of our Politics, and out of our Schools.
And while yall are at it, stop burning books.....ya wont burn all of them ya know. We might still manage to teach our kids about evolution.
BTW, I have a discount sale on whips, for all of you into flogging.
