It sounds more like Boston's "More than a feeling", and he admitted it was a cliche riff which sounded like Louie Louie. Check out the musical progression and you'll see, its not Louie Louie. It might have been written 'tongue in cheek' (he might have been poking fun at Boston's mainstream appeal), but I doubt he stressed about it. Since I didnt know him, I cant speculate about why he checked out. Did you know him, or are you just spewing web gossip?
