I am putting up sheetrock finally in my humble little space.
It's very cool to have a room I can play with, albeit a chilly one at present
until I get a door installed.

It's about 10x12ish

You recording dabblers like me out there, have the luxury of a room to play with?

Not that I do any recording, but my bedroom's soundproofed.

Comes in all kinds of handy.

That's a nice, handy size for solo/duo use, Rich. Nice!

That's awesome - I think you posted pics at one point last year didn't you? It must be bliss to have a devoted recording room.

I had a home office I was using til my wife packed up her photography studio and started occupying it - it was kind of like D-Day. I was the casualty so I moved out :) Now I'm in a corner of our living room betwix our kitchen and my son's room. So every now and again, I'll hit record, and someone will fire up a blender or walk thru with the elegance of a clydesdale. Makes for some interesting artifacts. It must be bliss to have a locking door? You DO have a lock on the door, right?!

Mine is the basement, it’s not bad and most of the instruments use all internal connections. Although any open microphones would pick up the occasional water heater startup and the computer fans. No sound proofing and the hardness of the walls make it a really bright sounding space. Less than perfect, but good enough for me. :)
