"Fair distribution of wealth" is an unfortunate phrase that's DESIGNED to trigger your ire against good, common sense issues. All we want is an equal chance to become rich in our own rights, but those rights are being removed by economic monsters out there, &, unlike the toe monsters of our youth, THESE monsters are very real, & extremely powerful, & unbelievably crafty.

Seriously, you folk who call yourselves "free marketers" & "conservatives!" Check into KKR, Monsanto, & other huge conglomerates. See how many co's THEY own, & how much power they have, & how you are being manipulated by them, & THEN come back & call me a "liberal" or a "whiner." Tell me again how great things are, & how anyone can become rich in their field, as their patents get stolen, or ppl get killed for their inventions that could help us all, or when you go to buy that loaf od bread that costs you $4-5 because some super-corp has a chokehold on wheat.

Educate yourselves before attacking us about a turn of phrase. Things are NOT fair, for any of us. We must fight to get the markets back, & our freedoms, as well, before all is lost.

I don't understand why some people constantly confuse the immoral acts of men with the faults inherent in governance systems.

None of us " teabagers" think our system is perfect.
Communism or more factually Marxism would be a perfectly functional form of governance if men were moral.
As far as that goes ... IF men were moral, we would need no governance at all.

Men are not moral, therefore all forms of governance are corruptible.
Limited powers and limited governance where the "power" remains with the populace to a greater extent allowing for ebb and flow and the possibility of justice to occasionally prevail, is the only workable system.

Who ever promised anyone the subjective concept of fairness? Life is not fair. You take what you have and work with it. You still have the freedom to succeed or fail on your own. Stop trying to get the government to steal other's success because MTv promised you that you would be a rock star just by dressing the right way and being cool.

You are promised nothing when you are born... we all came into this world naked, wet and screaming. With any luck we will go out that way. Everything else is bonus.

As a small business owner I wonder how the people working for me are able to survive on what they get paid. I pay my boys a lot better than most in town and less tha the ones taking advantage of those who can't afford it. I have to buy groceries every week like they do and I wonder if someone might not be eating like they should sometimes. Seems to me the only ones making any money are the banks , oil companies , and more than most the insurance companies. Workmans comp and liabilty insurance cost are so high I could hire another productive employee with what it cost. Or give my boy a 10% raise and not have to go up on my rates . Gas has reached 3 bucks a gallon again and seers say it will be 4 this time next year so obviously I'll have to figure away to make up for that soon. I play by the rules and carry insurance and are licenced to the point I have to have a seperate billfold to carry all my qualifying cards and info. I will spend 3 grand this week renewing business licenses in over 25 towns in a 40 mile radius . And my insuranse has doubled in 2 years without te first claim in 7 years. I know I'll never get rich and only hope to keep thimgs going cause I know working for someone else I wont eat as well as I do now.

There are too many out ther without the proper tools working for half of what I charge. The customer alays winds up paying someone like me to fix what they screw up. Yet I'm the bad guy cause I have to charge the twice what the other guy did. WTF!!!!!!

It's a huge sin for any gov't to require a man to pay them for the right to work in any city, state or community!

Biz licenses are "protection payments" demanded by a mafia-style of gov't that offers zero protection, only more demands for $ from us all.

And for union greed. You can't even play a gig here in any large venue without the union getting into your pocket. They won't even let you set up your own gear. You get the pleasure of hauling it into the building, but that is it.

By the way, I can live off less than $700 a month. That is more than enough for me. I was responsible enough to pay off my house while I was working. I made that a top priority. I went without to make sure that I didn't give some bank more than I paid for my house in interest.
I never buy or purchase anything with plastic. I always wait until I can pay cash. In other words, I have always lived within my means. And I am content. I don't need to steal from the demonized rich. I do not covet anything my neighbor has. That is between God and him.

The problem with libs is that they are eternally ungrateful no matter how much they have. They always want to get their hands on what someone else earned. I remember Phil talking recently about not being able to pull a well for someone or changing a toilet for an old customer over licensing issues or something , and its supposed to be about protecting the customer from people who don't know what their doing and causing injury or damages . I'm here to tell you the government doesn't care one bit that someone screwed up phils house with a bad job. They just want every bit of tax and control they can get over what that person does. They give licenses to a lot of dumbasses around here. There is over 400 plumbers in the yellow pages. Maybe 205 I would consider to be a master. Used to be I could do a job for a person with a verbl contract and take the mans word that he will pay me when I'm done. I got beat for thousands over the last few years . Now I protect my labor with signed contracts. The government prtects itself and not the people it should in nearly every aspect. I vote every election for the ones I think will make a differwence and all I see is the same BS. The mafia takes better care of teir employees and customers than the US government does.

Anyway none of it matters. I don't have any idea what my legacy will be , if only to leave someones shitter working like it should.

That is pretty much what we were talking about. The system is just screwed, from it's foundations on up. They charge less, pay their employees less, and do a shittier job. But, the market rewards them because their prices are lower. People use inferior, cheaper, services because their wages aren't what they should be. It just becomes a vicious cycle that reinforces itself, becoming a race to the bottom.

The problem with many conservatives is that they are eternally gullible and will swallow anything, if presented correctly to them.

We are headed for a sh*t storm in this country. They don’t want a recovery, the rich are still rich so business as usual continues. The wealthy and the banks can gobble up all the real-estate they want. A deal brokered by government bailout money. Uncle Sam isn’t trying to help reduce foreclosures, in fact by backing the banks, he’s actually one of the forces at work to take the homes.

When they talk about small business they make it sound like the times of June and Beaver Cleaver. There hasn’t been a small retail opportunity since the days of black and white TV. So if a good part of it is going to be based on IT services, I’m just really glad we are dumping masses of money into our education. That was sarcasm, in case anyone missed it.

The nonsense is unsustainable and intentional. When it finally breaks they will be right there ready with a solution all of their own, that doesn’t even pretend to include “We the People”. It wont be chaos as everyone predicts but actually quite calm as we turn over to the next Roman empire and start world conquest. Not to worry in two generations everyone will be on board. It only took Hitler less than one to pull it off and they have much better media to warp our minds today. The other than rich will be serfs to support the armed forces. Hitler used slaves but a few pennies on the dollar is close enough.
