General Music Chat

I know this is sappy,but I'm gonna tell ya anyway.
My 7 year old grandaughter called me up all excited to tell me she wrote a song.
I was very excited and asked her to sing it for me.
So she and I have decided that I'll come up with the music for her lyrics,and
she and I will record it together(simple in house recording).
My first ever collaboration with anyone

Oh,I this is going to be great.
I wished now thinking back, to have done what I think jimmydanger did for is nephew,and bought her an electric instead of an acoustic.
I think it does make the fretting easier and they dont get discouraged easily.

That is really cool.
I have tried to involve my sons but they have not shown much interest.
Does not bother though. They have their own music projects.
I did sit down with our drummers son last night and show him some simple chords he can play with on his guitar.
