Actually Paul you do, and can be far more influential by calling in the love from God. Far more powerful and far reaching than any of the pitiful laws that man can erect.
That is sort of what GLENN BECK is doing right now and it sort of has so many people on both sides scrambling to cover their butts. It is sort of like "PALE RIDER" when Lahood was yelling at his boys,"Preacher, you let a preacher in there. Now they will be dug in deeper than ticks on a coon hound."

Every day I wake up I only ask God to help me do some good and pass it along. Every day I see people that don't see that. Every other day I am grateful because I did blast some one because of their stupidity, and God gives me the patience to "let it go".

HOWEVER, a local town just passed a ban on smoking on the local beaches,,,,,

SAY WHAT???? You mean I got to pay a fee to get in your parking lot, find some little spot in your crowded piece of sand, listen to that ridiculous life guard blow his little whistle all day, while my daughter keeps looking at that tiny thing ,covering his tiny thing,sitting in that chair,up in the air, all those miserable bugs, the smell of some exotic tanning lotion that makes me want to puke, the ice cold water to swim in, the sand rubbing and making you crotch sore, the seagulls dive bombing you ,sunburn ,restrooms with a twenty minute wait, and a bunch of college girls practically wearing nothing, to the point you have to hide your woody, AND YOU WANT TO OUT LAW SMOKING ON THE BEACH!!!

Glen, I'm doing both and more. I pray for God to guide the people doing those things, I pray for wisdom in handling myself and my reactions to those things, and I work within the law to handle those things.

I just saw that special they did on the late great Sam Kinison. For years, he did massive amounts of drugs & alcohol, after being a Pentecostal preacher, in his father's church. He should have died several times over. He was arrested several times on drug charges, & made to give anti-drug messages as part of his sentence in his comedy routine. He did all of that, & when he straightened up, he was killed in a car accident by a fan. The fan was a 17 year old who was drunk at the time.

You don't HAVE a god-given right OR duty OR the ABILITY to protect anyone, Paul, ESPECIALLY those in MY care, except in the most dire, the most extreme of conditions. You may PRETEND to have the power. You may WISH you had the power. You may lobby the gov't to GIVE you all the f*ckin' power over my actions that you want to, but ya know what? SOME ppl don't much give a flyin' f*ck WHAT you want, WHAT you think is right & proper...and even if we did follow all your crapola to your f*cking satisfaction, it would make not one damned iota of difference in the larger scheme of things, cuz there are MILLIONS of others who won't, & chances are they'll end up screwing up your fabulous program anyway.

So you just go on ahead & meddle to your heart's content, cuz if you can save just ONE child's life, it's all worthwhile, ain't it? No matter the cost to the freedom of millions. No matter the evil powers that you end up serving. No matter how stupid or misinformed you may be. You'll feel very self-righteous, & you'll be able to stand up & look god in the eye, & say "I did what was right," right up until he brings out the Book Of Real Facts, & shows you the millions of ppl you have helped to enslave, due to your being unable to mind your own f*cking business, & to control what you should have controlled in your life, ya busybody. YOU are a very real evil in this country. Far more so than I, with all the cigarettes I've ever smoked in anyone's presense. Because YOU would destroy a man's right to choose. YOU would put far too much power in the hands of those who you goddamned well KNOW will abuse it. YOU would do all of this pure EVIL just to promote your pet peeve of the day. Corruption in man's law is overwhelming. Every time we pass a new law, the sadness is the attempt for complete societal control of individual freedom, privilege and basically the very free will that God gave us through choice. I.E. Addam did not have to receive the gift of knowledge from Eve , but God was infinitely wiser, we are here today.

When man's law echoes Gods law verbatim all will be right. When man's law echoes some ones special interest, DON'T TREAD ON ME.

I'm not picking on you or Phil. If any thing you two are saying the same thing ,have the same concerns, know the same right and wrong and share the same frustrations of trying to always do the right thing. Just don't let some one become the law that turns and bites you.

Well, Phil, if you feel so strongly about it don't call the cops if some perv molests your kid. Don't call the fire Dept. while your home goes up in flames. Stay off all public roads. Raise your own food. Make your own tools. Even the Amish rely on government for things. Save your tax dollars. Just go far away out in the middle of nowhere where no one ever heard of government.
