Sharing food with Karen Carpenter wouldn't have done her any good. Anorexics don't eat because they believe they are overweight no matter how much they weigh. Damn shame that both Mama Cass and Carpenter both had to die so young. They both had beautiful voices. Lady Gaga couldn't hold either one's jock (oh I'm getting Lady Gaga confused with a man)...

Karen's voice just blows me away to this day everytime I hear her sing. I like GOOD music period. My CD case has the Carpenters beside Johnny Cash, and Abba beside ACDC!

Good music is good music, regardless of genre. Karen Carpenter was one of the purest voices in music ever. Every time I hear one of her tunes I almost start crying. (It IS kind of weird though to put ABBA alongside AC/DC. )

You know the other night when I first posted this I was just watching video's of Karen Carpenter. The video that upset me was from youtube and it was I think "Only Yesterday" and had those stupid bubble caps that were extremely disrespectful. I refuse to repeat what they say guy's SORRY!

I let 'em stew in their stupidity, for the most part. No sense getting upset about it, cuz YOU can still enjoy her work, even if others are blind to that which you see.

Karen Carpenters voice reminds me of Alison Krauss voice
in the way that it is pure and almost angelic. With both of them
they make you relaxed and melancholy at the sound of their
pleasant voices. The ability to do that is GOD given and very rare.
