I used to cringe years ago when I heard recordings of myself, both bass playing and vocals. A lot of people are their own worst critics and I'm no different. But in the last few years I actually like what I'm hearing of myself in the studio. Maybe I'm finally getting good at this stuff. My voice has aged nicely and my bass tone is top-notch. Technically I could definitely improve, and certainly there's room for improvement overall, but I like where I'm at. If I felt that I hit a plateau in the past and have not gotten any better, than I would probably quit. Not going to quit and I am determined that the world will hear more from me in the future. I've got too many originals that need to be recorded professionally and I'm determined to get it done, just need the right people to pull it off.

Yeah the 25 year old version of me could wipe the floor with my current self.
I'm better mentally now, but my technical skills have declined.
I don't have much time to practice. Plus I took some time off and stayed lazy when I picked it back up.

I had a lot more chi and spunk when I was younger. I do think my song writing has gotten smarter lately, and I still got a good amount of gas left in the tank. With a little more motivation I'm sure I can do better than I ever have before.
