Señor Don gato (children's folk song). I can't find the version I'm referring to. But, as a kid, we had to listen to this in some music class. It was a slow melancholy version. The lyrics are depressing enough. The cat falls off a roof, breaks its neck and dies. I like cats.

There's another country song that I can't think of... While I'm thinking of it though.. The Redstrokes by Garth Brooks. Weird one but it makes me cry for some reason. Nope, I can't think of the one I was trying to.

I try to stick to happy stuff most of the time!

This is a subject that I've wondered about for quite a while. I know that it's usually minor keys that give you that sad quality, but there are passages that seem to physically move you or go strait to the heart. I was going to take some theory classes to see if there are know progressions that produce "heart wrenching" passages. I haven't taken the time to go through and see if I could figure some out.

Any theory guys out there that have any ideas about this?
