Thanks bro. I appreciate that thought. But remember...it takes all kinds of people to make the wheels of progress turn, so...I tend to just roll with it and LMFAO at some of the remarks.

We listened to the previews of the songs. Although I never got into the whole ska/reggae deal, each song on its own is definitely well-done and catchy.

However, all of your songs seem to use the same rhythm and the guitar plays in the same place. If you combined more genres or branched out a little more, maybe your sound would benefit.

But remember, we only listened to the 30 second previews.

I recommend the actual CD as opposed to the download. The quality is better straight from the CD.

Thank you.

About 10 minutes ago, I was on your page, wishing I could download your stuff. Now I can. Thanks!

Naw, there's different progressions going on. Not on my personal songs though. Same 2-chord progression, different spots. But then again, I'm a Reggae rookie. The samples really don't get into every aspect of each song. There are guitar leads that you're not hearing, Ragga breaks, mixes, dynamic breakdowns, etc..

But in reality, Reggae music doesn't stray too much from certain chord progressions anyway. It's just the nature of the genre. It's not a progressive genre. To do Reggae right, basic rhythms are golden. It's what you decorate it with that becomes the appeal. It's music to chill to. Most people who like Reggae just want to dance to a basic sound with fat lyrics and a good melody.

As far as adding different styles to Reggae. We are doing that. They have heavy metal, blues, and hard rock solos in them. There's Roots, R&B, Rock, Blues, Ska, Dancehall, Lovers, Hawaiian Traditional, etc.. We're not all of the sudden start throwing screamo in there. On the surface, it may appear to be that way. But to people who know Reggae, they can tell that we do mix a lot of styles into our music even though basic common rhythms are being used.

Cool man. Thanks for the compliment. I suppose I should put more accessible links on my profile. I'm slacking.

Reggae's pretty cut and dry, they're not looking for too much straying and people who did found themselves defectors into Pop or they were considered sell outs. That's just the way it is and always has been. I've been listening to Reggae since the 70s. Once you listen to more of it, you can recognize certain bands, sounds and you'll know who's who and who their influences are/were.

It's like going to another country. At first everyone just looks alike, but the longer you're there, you realize that isn't the case.

Nice observations.. Reggae is meant to be peaceful. A lot of times even when a Reggae song has a darker less peaceful subject matter, generally you'll find that in the end there's a purpose of awareness that needs to be addressed to achieve a peaceful solution.

There are quite a few people who ask me how and why did I make a transformation from Hard-Core to Reggae. And I think the latter of that explanation is what drew me to be interested in the genre. I had gone through years of being in bands that deal with the darker sides of life. I am a dark lord, hear me roar. I am evil, life has screwed me over, I hate my parents, Satan rules, I am the person you should fear, life is evil, kill die, kill die, slash, burn, feel sorry for me, blah,blah,blah..

In reality, I had a great childhood. Why so angry? I don't know, I just liked the music. Korn, Tool, Rage, Deftones, MM, Slipknot.. Still love it. Not my calling.

When I joined this band, I found a better avenue to express myself in a way that tips the scale a little more on the positive side.

Bob Marley and Peter Tosh were the OG Rage Against the Machine. They just did their thing in a less negative manner.

In this band, that's the role I play. I deal with different subject matter than the other guys in a darker shade. But the message is still positive in the end. War against atrocity, spirituality in check.

I know what you mean. When we first started our band our songs were much darker and heavier than they are now. But after a while, we just weren't interested in playing the heavy stuff anymore. Music needs emotion and energy, so that you have a reason to keep playing it, but we have more dynamic feelings than anger. I would even argue that one can be more passionate without hate weighing you down like an anchor. Holding you back form that which you love and preventing progress. Not just in music, but in all areas of life.

Ah finally after wading through the crap I found the pony.

See, Shredd6 has been a contributory member of our "community" for a long time.
We've been on his roller coaster with him from having his wheels stolen to finding his way into reggae.

He has also very kindly been of great benefit to me and my personal musical endeavors without ever expecting anything in return for his efforts.

Never met Ted face to face yet consider him a friend.
When I do it'll be a hard choice whether to shake his hand or hug him. LOL

Now I'm going to buy his CD, without expecting anything in reciprocity.

I cannot clam to always be on my best of behaviors because I am an asshole.
Yet, youth / inexperience are no excuse for poor behavior.

I like Mrs Chaeya have experience at my ready, and don't buy into thinly veiled psychosocial bullshit.
