My son wants me to download a program from this site.
Do any of you have any experience with them ??
I have what seems to be good viral protection programs at work for me, yet I still get prompts about using "reputable sites ".

Is there an on line BBB type situation where a person might investigate web legitimacy ??

What say you ?

I get solicitations to this and that all the time.

I plug it into GOOGLE.

If I don't get any kind of corresponding link, I KNOW it a fake.

AH, simple and to the point.

Thanks.

I seem to recall Mary talking about this ( or a similar ) site.

Like to be supportive of my boys musical endeavors.
Just a little gun shy after my last fiasco.

Can't remember if it is Norton or McAfee, but one such company, has a free browser plug-in that integrates INTO your browser, and if you do a Google search, it shows right on the page, which links are safe, and which aren't. If you try to blindly go to a site that is malicious, it won't let you go to that site immediately. It redirects you to a page from the company, warning you, that this site has Malware or is unsafe, and then asks whether you still want to go there or not.

Maybe someone knows which company does this?

I just can't remember which it is.

Avast always warns me when a threat occurs.

Google Chrome usually can pick out malware-laden sites as well. I usually ignore its warnings, but they are there.

So I guess none of you have any direct experience with this particular program.

Well, if my son still wants to use it to write music.
Why not ?!

Thanks all.

Yeah, Norton automatically checks every website for safety.
"Bandmix" is listed as green (safe), btw . . .
