I am a vocalist/pianist/guitarist seeking a bass and cello player to work on a side project, focused on recording (Salt Lake City UT).

I like it, overall. The drum part is a bit irritating, imho, along with the synth. Would you we willing/able to post a "stripped" version (just voice and piano)?

Hello Justin,
That is great feedback, I agree, the drum is entirely too repetitive (I am still figuring out the drum sequencers), and the layering of the synths was probably overkill. I do have a cleaned up version, I'll post soon. Thank you again for taking the time to listen!

If you really want drums, I would use live drums or use a simpler drum pattern. I'd also change the sound of the drums to more of a live drum sound instead of that electronic sound. The strings need to be turned down and your vocals need to be more on top of the music. Simple changes.

My two pennies.

Chaeya,
Thank you, I agree. We actually wanted to record on our grand piano, but couldn't seem to get a good sound with our mic setup. We plan to re-record on a real piano (hopefully get rid of that keyboard sound). We have a access to a great drum player, I'm just hoping we can keep somewhat of a more contemporary feel. Thank you!
