Jimi dances. No one believes me till you put on music and he'll start stepping from one foot to the other. He gives my old man sh*t all the time whenever he leaves and comes home late at night, he always barks at him and then they get in an argument, he's such an alpha male.

Chaeya

Phil, I was counting the legs also. Special marking. We grow 'em big here just like down in Texas.
Chaeya , that little sweetheart pup looks just like PAL. Brought back childhood memories. Our neighbor was a butcher by profession and of course brought PAL home some real good stuff. PAL got very used to eating the best meat around.
Things were much different back then. More than once PAL snuck in and took some marinating dinner right off the table. LOL.

Guys thanks for sharing,,, you really are some great folks!

Glen, I can only refer you to these sites:

http://dermatology.cdlib.org/DOJvol5num ... cluse.html

http://spiders.ucr.edu/recluseid.html

http://www.brownreclusespider.org/brown ... cation.htm

http://www.ca.uky.edu/entomology/entfacts/ef631.asp - note - "Though variable in size, adult brown recluse spiders with legs extended are about the size of a U.S. quarter..."

Interestingly, I've read somewhere that they can't actually bite you. The way their venom is injected is by pressing against them, cuz the way their fangs work, it isn't possible for them to be able to aggressively bite anything larger than a small insect.

Either way...I don't want anything to do with 'em!

Phil I have to appreciate you going out of your way to put up those sites, thank you very much. Only the third page had what we call brown recluse. ALMOST.

Anyway, when I am sitting outside in the early morning... I let some of my little friends crawl on my feet. They are very playful and I still am not sure what they eat.
They are the most deadly spider in the world...
DADDY LONG LEGS.

How the hell did we get from pups to spiders?

I believe you Chaeya. Jimmy wants to be the alpha male and I don't blame him. :)

Daddy long legs are not spiders but a relative of the scorpion.

They are the most poisonous though
they cant bite you.
I have a 2 1/2 yr. old 105lb Choc. Lab
He lives to please me. I have spent many
hours training him. He is now a 1 command dog.
He will search left and right with hand signals.
He protects the most valuble thing in my life
every day while I'm at work, my wife.
His commands are:
sit
stay
shake
lie down
roll over
alert
upstairs
no begger dog
come
fetch
wait
gentle
git
up
down
no jump
back-up

"woof" means alert to him
turn around
He rings a bell to go out.
He lets himself back in.
He also knows various names for his toys and
can fetch them by name.
He will also search in pattern on command with
hand signals.

I lOVE My Dog Taylor.

"They do not have venom glands, fangs or any other mechanism for chemically subduing their food. Therefore, they do not have poison and, by the powers of logic, cannot be poisonous from venom. "
That is from the link Phil posted....
