I was wondering where you went Haley. Good hearing from ya!

I had decided to take a break from forums for a while. Some of the topics that are posted on here I am just WAY TOO PASSIONATE ABOUT! So I needed a break to concentrate on this band I joined.

I came to the conclusion that most of what is posted on this and ALL forums are just opinions anyway and very SELDOM based on FACT!
While I do appeciate the commraderee and value the VAST collective knowledge of all the musicians on here I am going to try and ignore the political posts. Some of the folks on this site are able to seperate their emotions from the political rants on here and are able to debate even if I don't agree with them I can still admire that ability. When it comes down to name calling that JUVENILE side shows a COMPLETE lack of respect and MATURITY! So I will seperate myself as far as I can from this type of discord and continue my life long search toward musical perfection and happiness!

finally somebody with good news it's about time, now keep it going JH.

We have another gig tonight at some place called Shamrocks in Humble (a suberb of Houston) on the North side of H-town. It has been raining like hell here thank God the gig is inside. After playing a lot of gigs outside for the last 10 years I won't miss playing outside one bit with the heat, the mosquito's, rain outs and all that crap. I am having to drive about an hour each way ( if there is no traffic jambs) but these are pretty cool people to be playing with. They are all very talented and fun.

I was wondering how that hurricaine would be affecting you guys down there in TX.

Watch out for them skeeters! Them & the illegals will suck the life outta ya...ooops! I went political!

No problem Philby! We are hanging in there we dodged the bullet on this hurricane. it when into Mexico about 400 miles south of us. it has been raining here since Monday night. I took a weeks vacation from work to stay home with our son that just had scoliosis surgery. He is doing real well. He declined to take pain meds. for the first time today. There is a lot of residual pain from surgery like this because everything ribcage was twisted and is now straightening out. I have been remodeling our stairs this week. Laminated hardwood for the treads and ceramic tile on the diagonal (diamond lay) for the risers. I can here the toad frogs croakin like hell outside with the rain and all they are wanting to multiply. Anyway its time for me to go change my strings and get ready for the gig tonight.
