I dunno. Words have no meanng beyond what one assigns to them. So, someone is angry? Anger is just another emotion like joy, sorrow. I also don't get why there's so much antipathy to someone who is angry and hurls slurs. They're just words stemming from an emotion. Dare anyone actually look to see what might be underlying such? No. Nowdays we point a finger, assign a label and walk away. No one listens to each other. Too bad it's the same with too many musicians. They're not listening, either. Don't even know how to listen to each other. But that's the lesson taught in music. The great lesson of learning to listen first, then speak if at all. One can learn everything by listening. It's all there. One can learn from the angry insult hurling person to if one just shuts up and listens.

Art is said to mimick life. But art is the great teacher of life. All one has to do is observe.

Perhaps it is time people started behaving as professional people instead of TV people. It's up to the artists to set the example for the rest of humanity since artists are the ones being looked to for such.

In everyday life one should be a professional. Act accordingly and act as if you mean it. You will be one more bright spot in this world of darkness.

Hey Bundey dude, you are right. That is sad. THIS IS AMERICA man and you speak up any way you want to.
Even more this is life and if you don't speak up you will only die with regrets.
Even more you rob us all of ideas that may be of a higher order and sensability. Don't ever be afraid to speak out, you only die once.

Having read nothing but the title of this thread, I'll try to respond -

White is a descriptive term.

Trash is a descriptive term.

I've met a lot of white trash. I've also met trash of other colors.

The "trash" part has nothing to do with income, btw. I've known some fairly rich white trash.

This term is useful for keeping your kids away from unsavory types of ppl. I've used it myself, & I will not apologize for it.

Unless it's composted, trash has no value. That's what I tried to teach my son. There have been some ppl I've met that really need to be composted.

People say derogatory things about people they perhaps know little about. I haven't heard anybody call me anything but one time I went into a Country Kitchen restaurant at 2:30 am after a gig and somebody behind me told the people at his table that me and my drummer (who was with me) were faggots! He said it very low volume thinking that I couldn't hear it but I did. I guess the word spread from table to table that we were faggots and everybody in the restaurant were staring at us. If I wasn't so big and mean looking (the drummer also was a BIG body builder ) I almost guarantee they would have ganged up and tried to beat the crap out of us but they left us alone. It's amazing that somebody who has never seen a person in their life would assume that he would be a faggot! It's mind boggling the utter ignorance of bigots. To call somebody anything derogatory without knowing anything about them is the height of dumbass ignorance...

Even if you all were gay, it wouldn't merit a beat down or derrogatory name calling. If they had tried something and you kicked their asses, they would have to live down the fact that they got beat up by a couple of "girls".

My drummer never knew that everybody in the retaurant was staring at us until we got to the hotel. He was a policeman and probably was armed at the time. I purposely didn't tell him at th restaurant knowing he probably would have laid his gun on the table. Soimetimes it's better to keep your mouth shut. People generally leave me alone. The two of us were dressed up a little having just come from the gig. We weren't dressed like the locals. I was surprised at that late hour the restaurant was packed. I guess since we were dressed differently we must have been faggots. If they had jumped us we might have been beat up but a few of them would have ended up in the hospital with their jaws wired shut courtesy of myself and the drummer who also had an advanced black belt in karate. When you see people who might kick your ass it's best to leave them alone, even if they might be faggots...
