It's more than obvious that you really don't care what the scriptures say.
Honestly if you could "missenterpret" the last scriptures I just pasted, then it's not a translater you need, it's new attititude and broken will.
Thanks for your critisism at first but nex time feel free to start a new thread with this topic; Christians and Money. or something like that. I just wanted a criteek on the lyrics.
Lastly, a Church that does not live entirely on ONLY what the word of God says, is nothing different than every other religion without a savior.
What's the point if we're not going to obey the words SIMPLE truths?

sounds like a personal expeirence, and it hurt you. there are many things the bible says, king david played stringed instruments and lead a type or huge band when playing for God. My brother, we are in the time of the antichrist, money, cant buy, sell without it, cards, were not going to get a big bang and the devil appeares, he is here and fooling millions of people, when and whereever you go, that one person you meet like you said, you say something towards the kingdom, be wise as a serpent and harmless as a dove, i believe in the same concept you do, my music is one of the few that does talk of christ and can be played in the christian venue or the world, the word of God is a two edged sword

No, that is NOT more than obvious. I care very much about what the scriptures "say" and I care just as much about what they "mean". The words have little importance without understanding their intentions.

I think my attitude is a good attitude. And I could not have been saved without first allowing my will to be broken. The reason I gave you some advice on seeking after God's heart, is that you strike me as somewhat naive. The kind of person who takes a minister's word and researches it no further. There are alot of fallacies being taught in churches today, that are not biblical or truthful. That interracial marriage is unbiblical for example. Or that Jesus did not really drink wine, but it was really unfermented fruit juice. Then the harder ones...That aging and physical death are the result of original sin. That heaven and hell are physical places. Etc...

I did give you a critique. But if this part of the coversation bothers you, then I apologize for that. I felt it was not neccessarily off-topic, because according to your profile, one would conclude that the motivation of your lyrics are related to your beliefs, and so, discussing the beliefs that motivate the lyrics seemed within reason to me.

By this, you mean the "written" word of God. Yes, the written word of God is supremely important. But the written word of God is there to guide us toward the "living" word of God. Worshipping scripture, not that you are guilty of this, but many are, is a huge mistake. It is the God who inspired scripture that should be worshipped. People can be saved, without ever reading a word of scripture. If this were not so, then people who were illiterate could not be saved. A blind person who had no braille bible could not be saved. People in remote areas of the world who have no access to printed books could not be saved. So then, it is the living word, Jesus, God himself, that is most important. Scripture is a tool he has provided us. It is an important tool, but it is not Him.

Of course we should follow God's words and God's truths, the question is, do most people really understand what he is saying? Are they "rightly dividing the word of truth"? Are they lingering on all the literal words, or searching to be clear on the meanings of those words? Literalism would have us believe that Jesus is a plant, because He said he was the vine. Most people understand that to be the analogy that it is, but they take other parts of scripture too literally, when some of them were also analogies.
I'm sorry that my own conclusions bother you. But when there are by some accounts more than 30,000 different denominations of Christianity, then something is wrong. Jesus said that others would know we were his followers, by the love we showed for one another. Separating into 30,000 denominations does not express love for one another. Not to mention that Jesus also said that a house divided amongst itself cannot stand.
Rather than the antagonist you likely feel that I am. Perhaps I am actually someone deeply concerned about the state of affairs that those who claim the name of Jesus find themselves in today. A protagonist with a worthy cause.
I got you bro, I do. Two things, First, I only put scripture up, so I don't understand even where you gathered the assumption that I could be niave enough to belive the "ministers" words only. Implying that I would take my personal study of the word no further.
The Scriptures that I posted contradicted GREATLY some of your own findings. That's why I put the whole thing about living ONLY by the word of God.
No one is Guilty of making a profit off of a ministry. The Bible says so, but It also warns of those who are ONLY trying to make money off of "minstry." The word addresses your fears of followers falling under the temptation of GREED. So to that we're TOTALLY ON THE SAME PAGE. And I wouldn't be unless it was stated so in the word of God.
I'm sorry for being sharp with you brother. Please forgive me. This is your point of view, some of the things you said did contradict these scriptures. As IRON SHARPENS IRON, , , that's all I was aiming for.
Hey brother, we're all in this together, let's benefit off of eachothers philosophies, findings, and suggestions.
Your coments didn't bother me so much as they intregued me, I LOVE all conversation. But between us of the faith, (and you said you agreed) all knowledge must be bassed on what we have learned through the word of God and the experience we gain from (as you said) Living it out!
Amen!
Thanks again,
