I recently bought a Trappist Amber Ale 4-pack...yeah, that's FOUR-pack...4 beers...for $20. Weird, squat little bottles.
Now don't get me wrong - it was good beer. Very good beer. But $20? FIVE bucks APIECE?
Yeah...just as you prolly guessed...it was totally worth it! That was some good stuff.
I don't treat myself like that often, but...aw hell, who am I kiddin'? I treat myself all the time! I'm just gonna hafta put this beer in the rotation with all my other vices...I refuse to stick to a single vice all the time...well...other than tobacco.
But that just shows that I've learned my lesson, right?
I will hafta try the other two flavors. I started with the most expensive, cuz I got paid that week...the others are much cheaper, so I won't have to feel so guilty about yet another one of my life's little pleasures...they're 17-something & 18-something for a four-pack.
Of course, they'll be more pricey next time I buy them, cuz the new beer tax just went into effect.
Rat bastids!
I tried that Bud lite wheat stuff. It was better than I expected, but I'm holding on to my mantra - "I do not drink lite beer...I do not drink lite beer..."
I get a 6 of Blue Moon about once a month. Never heard of Drifter. I'll keep my peepers open for that.
Sunshine Wheat...don't know...I try so many...is that what Bud calls theirs?
I like Shock Top a lot. It's not wheat, though. I figger I drink about 1 in 5 or so that's a wheat beer, overall.
You guys ever try Dead Guy Ale by Rogue? Pricey, but tasty! Around here it goes for $11 a 6.
Yeah, I still get Honey Brown (J W Dundees) every once in awhile, too. It isn't too fizzy. I like that.
The Trappist wasn't too fizzy, either.
I've a friend, a fellow STICKMASTER, who brews his own. I have GOT to try that! I'm a-gonna bug him to death until he gets me started. Of course, I'm gonna have to twist up some of the recipes, cuz that's what I do. Isn't that what makes it all worthwhile? Making it your very own? It's like playing covers, to me.
I'll shut up, now...*
*Note to self...quit smoking that stuff & then posting...you're rambling again!
SMILE - it's the safest way to spread your cheeks!
