Everyone should starting to get mad as hell. BP and Washington are IGNORING all the good Ideas being put up for cleanup and control at the well. Many of these are coming from Americans of all walks of life, many are coming from engineers with experience in clean up and control.
Right now, the only thing coming out of BP and WASHINGTON is more BS and rhetoric , than there is oil spewing out. Why is capturing some of the oil [not all of it] suddenly OK? Why is the wheat straw clean up method being ignored.
Obama may be looking for "some ass to kick" but thats not going to solve the situation. We need solutions and leadership. We need to look at all possible solutions, and they may not come from BP or Washington. I bet some of the brightest minds don't work for BP or in Washington.
Everyone should be getting a little P.Oed. Once again nobody is listening to the American people and it is OUR land that is being damaged.

Might be a blessing in disguise. Now we have a very good reason to ban deep water drilling.
Unpopular as it may be I believe unless your wearing skins walking in the desert living off of honey and locust you have no right to bad mouth the oil industry.
That's like sitting around smoking pot and deriding the drug cartels.
When everyone else stops using energy I will to.
With the exception of course of what ever energy I have to use to kill and eat you because there is nothing else to eat.
Until that day DRILL BABY DRILL in my yard, in your yard, in the middle of the freakin white house.
The only other option is lay down and die.
You first ...

Why don't you show us the way by getting rid of all your fossil fuel burning devices, and your electronics that are powered through electricity generated through that dirty icky coal?
They drill there because tree huggers and environmentalists wacko's like you made those oil companies drill where it was predictably dangerous in the first place. Pat yourself on the back for that.
Do you actually think that someone somewhere sat in a think tank and pondered. "Lets see, should we drill on land where we only have to drill several hundreds of feet or should we go out in the ocean and drill from 5 miles above the drilling surface?" Now if they were drilling on land, where the wackos refused to let them drill, how hard would you think it would be to stop the damage?
Put your life in harmony your mouth. Save those polar bears and those huge ice cubes that aren't actually disappearing... help stop Jupiter, Mars and Saturn from their global warming trends.
Hurry, before they all melt and the sun burns up and we all have to live in the dark. Show us a way to stop those new polar ice masses from forming before we have to listen to you belly ache about global cooling.
Show us the way by example. Doesn't it begin one person at a time?

I realize you don't give a ratzass about the environment but there are a lot of people who do. A lot who are going to put pressure on the government to insure this doesn't happen again. No more deep water drilling period!

It's slightly air conditioned (keeps the pharms nice and fresh). Not enough to keep my arm from sticking to the desk as I get you guys riled up though
I don't want everyone eliminated, about half would do it.

Is that a joke?
Whether today or 50 years from now, they would have tapped that well. Oil is, to the best of our knowledge, a finite resource. We would have had to drill there eventually.
Don't go trying to blame this on the environmentalists. Jesus, that's just dumb...
Blame it on the people responsible - the executives who decided it was okay to short change safety precautions and cut corners in favor of more massive profits, allowing this incident to happen at all. We're talking about a corporation that decided they were bigger than the risk.
Yeah - we need oil. Until we find alternate fuel sources to take the place of oil, we'll have to drill. And every time we tap a well dry, we'll have to find new places to drill. We would have got there eventually.
This accident was going to happen one way or another.
You know this is the whole problem. Everyone is standing around arguing about everything that has nothing to do with solving the problem at hand.
Not just you folks but the people that can STOP THIS SPILL.
You have a severe car accident you don't stand around arguing about who is to blame, you get the injured to the hospital.
This is BULL . If we can put a man on the moon we can stop an oil leak.
But every body is turning this into a political grandstand. I guess we have NO LEADERSHIP IN THIS COUNTRY ANYMORE.
STOP THE SPILL GET IT CLEANED UP And the we can all start to make rational decisions again. Just My NOT SO Humble opinion. And yeah I am mad.

but um, why are they drilling there now? We know there's oil on land AND if there's a spill, we can clean it up a whole lot easer on land than having to scrape oil off thousands of square miles of coastal land...
Darwin, is that dumb!

I don't know about you Chris, but I don't have gills. I can't enjoy the ocean 5 miles down.
But I can enjoy the forest and the animals in it.
Call me a tree hugger, but I'd like to preserve the wilderness we HAVE while we have it.
KCUF!!! Back to arguing. This is why I should be King and you would all have jobs tending the royal cornfields. Candles to light your huts and meat once a month.
Stop the spill or America is going to have to take the job away from BP and Washington. Obviously Obama is to busy finding asses to kick to stop the spill.
ANGER IS GROWING.
