I was beginning to wonder about that myself, Klugmo. LOL! The site is definetly waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay different than the last time that I was here even though a lot of the same people still post here...
Uh, apparently it's a site where anyone can post anything they want at any given time...right?

Ah, but making it ONLY between musicians would be to CENSOR anyone else who may have something to say. Like it or not, advertisers, merchandisers, snake oil salesmen and b.s. artists all have the same rights.
Where do you draw the line-and who decides where the line is drawn?
(I agree with you, btw, but I'm just gonna keep bumping this to see what happens...).

Is anyone hiring snake oil salesmen?
I wanna apply.. lol

Just to play devils advocate for a moment.
OK, your the censor.
( not addressed to anyone in particular so give me some input here people)
How do you determine what qualifies a member as a "musician"?
And how do you go about determining if each contributor fits said qualifiers?
I for instance might interject that unless your write play and record original Christian music you don't qualify as a "musician".
Extreme example I know as I would probably be here all by myself. LOL

Sans, you beat me to the point...what qualifies as a musician?
What if the person who posts the ad for the new iphone happens to play acoustic guitar in his or her spare time? Then, does it make the post acceptable?
By the standard you are setting, Klugmo (which, again, I don't disagree), ANY band that comes here merely to promote their new work has every right to do so. So yes, it would be a site for that purpose. They are musicians communicating with musicians.
If the new phone they are pushing has a built in mp3 player, does that qualify as being music-related?
What if it happens to be a celebrity (an actor or actress) who once tried to start a recording career...but their purpose here to blab about their personal life...Does that brief musical connection give them the right to post here?
OR, what if it is not the celebrity his or herself, but rather some random dude who has decided he needs to blab about it? Is it still a musical post?
I know I'm probably irritating y'all about this, but I'm sure my point is becoming clear.
