no tatoos. I think avril's tatoos look stupid... they are like living reasons not to get one... then again some of those japanese gangster tats look baddass... but if it's really good art why not get it on canvas?
guess I'm just not a tat person.

I met a very well-endowed gal at one of our gigs years who had tattoos on her boobs (uh-oh I hope Crip's not reading this). When she was in her late teens she had the tattoos put on her chest when she was flat-chested. She didn't think she would ever develop big boobs. Surprise, surprise she developed a HUGE chest and her tattoos stretched and looked awful. I've never understood the lure of tattoos. It seems to have developed into a huge fad, probably will fade like all fads do. No, I don't have a tattoo. Anyway I wouldn't want to mar perfection...

No tattoos here. All I can think about is as the skin ages and wrinkles and sags......<shiver> not a good visual I am thinking.... LOL
Have always discouraged my kids from getting tattoos by saying .... think about what they will look like when you are old/er. LOL

Every time the subject of tats comes up, I talk about getting a little tinker bell comin' out my butt.
Ppl tend to look at me like this:
Never saw the need for them. I change my facial hairs all the time. Why in hell would I want something I can't do away with when my mood changes?
I have a drummer friend who has all these odd tats all over his arms - Looney Tunes characters, a space alien smoking a joint, patterns & & flowers & such all up & down his arms. I look at him & ask if he did that when he was drinking, & he just sighs & changes the subject.
I don't know anyone my age (50+) who thinks it is still a good idea after having the thing for 20 years or so. That says it all for me.

SMILE - it's the safest way to spread your cheeks!
I have two: A bass clef, in celebration of my years as a bassist, and a rather evil grim reaper skull. Very proud of both. I plan to get quite a few more as well...
I know a chick that wasn't paying attention and the guy used the same needle that he used on her BF.
Now she has "Hep C".

OK.
Perhaps I am a cynic with a complex.
For a good many years I have had a close eye on how my liberties have been taken away in infinitesimally small bits at a time. I have seen how my rights as a property owner have been ebbing away to the point where I can no longer do something to my property without some union or politician blocking me from doing anything to what is legally mine.
I always noted that whenever they were trying to track someone down, they always give the "He has a tattoo of a pigeon dumping on a statue" on his bicep to the news media to report.
I strongly disagree where those in power are taking America. I have never trusted ANYONE who desires to be a politician. I have never trusted their motives for even wanting to be a politician. I always have had distrust for them, and rightfully so.
So when they're after me for speaking against the powers that be, and shouting their crimes against humanity, and they find me defending liberty, I will not assist them to identify me. That and that alone has kept the ink from my body.
However, with a camera in every cell phone and a camera at every intersection, I doubt that any dissenter will be able to avoid capture in that day. Big brother is here to stay. He is preparing to put down all that do not agree with his ways. I don't need to help them with a tattoo.
Oh yeah. I forgot paranoid. We'll see.

Slacker, so you think tattoos will help Big Brother identify people easier? That's funny, Big Brother doesn't need help identifying anybody. There's a dossier on all of us already somewhere....

Bob,
I've known all of that for years. I'm just saying that a tattoo is like carrying a flag. Echelon has been spying on Americans "privacy" for years and years. They have been gathering every word you say, or type. But that doesn't help them find you now does it? (Given you change your habits and patterns) If that were true there wouldn't be a Most wanted list, and they could find every criminal out there, right?
I said what I said and nothing more. No need to read anything into it. I was simply specifying why I never got inked. Just like some of the other guys gave reasons that they didn't get tattooed.
I don't need a tattoo to mark me any more than I already am. I didn't say anything more than that. No sense in turning a questionable identification into a positive one in my opinion.
