Are beauty pageants relevant to anything these days? Is anyone on the edge of their seat rooting for their state's representative to win the crown? What difference does it make what nationality, religion, ethnicity a beauty pageant winner is? I think beauty pageants are a joke. For that matter the Grammies and Oscars are a joke. It's all a meat market. I could never understand the allure of "winning" something based 100% on the subjective opinion of judges. What makes anybody the "best" based on subjective opinions?

I dont watch them but that is one beautiful woman I dont care where shes from! The shallow me still likes topheavy blondes for some reason!

I agree with you to a degree Sans. I do think that women should be able to display their beauty, but I think they need to dig deeper into the import roles women play in the world.

I mean, it's easier to be a man IMO. We whizz standing up, we don't give birth, and we don't feed children from our bodies. Women should be revered as very symbolic and sacred creations.

So yeah, I was only kidding about the whole oil em up comment. I have a lot of respect for women. My mother(like a lot of mothers) had to play the role of mom and dad. That being said, being raised by a single mother taught me to have respect for women...something a lot of men don't seem to have.

It's just plain fun,it's sexy and the girls enjoy it too. There's nothing wrong happening there. It's not pornography and nobody is being harmed except the sencibilities of a few and they should just learn to push the button on their remote or use the V chip.
