Yah know peeps like us are a very privileged race. There is always somewhere that you can go in times of need and indeed joy. Right now my fan wants to shut off the pc :D
I've been thinking a lot lately about stuff, Thats the best word to describe it, just stuff and I came to the conclusion stuff it! :D

I mean that in the best possible manner of course for those of you over the pond,
This last month has been a roller-coaster in many areas. Now then if I can convince Philby to takes me feeshing I might gets me one of thems nices shrooms he keeps talking about since I could friggen do with one right now! :D

The gray skies and rain every day all day long for over a week or so has given me the bummers too. Cold, clammy, dark, dreary. I wanted to make some vids with my new HD video camera but the lighting sucks and I'm not in the best frame of mind for it.

So I ordered two dozen sets of strings and I'll re string some of my axes. Sioux City. Named after the Sioux Indians who lived in this area. If those little buggers have been practicing their rain dances I'm really gunna be upset.

I did shake of the bummers long enough to write a couple of fun songs. That was a break in the doldrums. :) Now I need the inspiration to record them. Is there such a thing as mass bummers that effect people all over the world at the same time? Seems to be a bit of that going around.

Maybe we caught the same bummer bug Slacker. I haven't practiced in three days, partially because of the weather and the fact that I had ankle surgery on the 7th.

Now I'm going to have to force myself to play and get "re-inspired". It would be ridiculous to waste all this free downtime on not honing in and tuning out.

Bummers. How is the ankle doing?

While I was staring out into the rain this evening a couple of things crossed my mind.

#1 Unfair : Midgets get so much more for their money.

#2 A lot of us feel that some day there is going to be a nuclear war. When that happens not many people
will be left. Will the survivors choose to return to the jungles of the world where perhaps food is more plentiful? But then there will always be war.
Would today be the proper time to invest heavily in bow and arrow futures?

I think these thoughts enter my head because I always have a TV going in the background. I don't think I normally think that way. I hope.

I just ate some peanut butter and rasins. That was good.

I'm having the time of my life with my stuff quite honestly. I was feeling like that a few weeks ago bu now there's a fire in me that just wants to pile through it all to the end. (if there is one?). Hope not, I rather like the creative side of myself of late.

Have a great day people.
Best.
Chippy.

Glad you're feeling chipper Chippy! :)

Yeah, my ankle is due for a check up tomorrow. Maybe I'll be walking on it sooner than I think. I guess I have five more weeks to heal. This sitting around has made me a little stir crazy.

My skateboarding days are over!

Good news on your foot Krul. Yeh mate chipper about the music, confused as heck by some people. I guess thats why I choose to live in the backwaters away from many of them huh?

Keep well Krul.
Best.
Chippy.

Glad to hear the ankle is healing faster than expected. Weight bearing injuries like legs backs and feet really do stop activities in a hurry. Have you been getting that practice in while you are mending?

I wrote a couple of songs but didn't have the inspiration to record them.

Heck yeah Chip! It is a wonderful thing! I found myself a little uninspired as of late as well...until last night. Looks like I won't be going back to my old band since the singer is just a mean-spirited person, but all I really missed was my friend/writing partner Shawn. Everytime we get together, there's at least 2 more songs by the end of the night.

Anyway...Shawn came over last night as well as an even better drummer than we had in Crowfeather (I told Shawn to stay in Crowfeather...at least for now), and another vocalist which is equally as good. This is what Shawn and I wanted over a year ago! Needless to say...we jammed just like old times and wrote another new song AGAIN! I guess that Shawn and I are lucky to be so close and dedicated to each other as musicians. Without him...I tend to lose inspiration just as he does when I'm not there. Neither one of us even wrote a new song all this time until last night.

Now all we have to do is get Jake's (our new drummer) brother-in-law over on the bass and we're set. I can't wait to get some recordings done with the new set-up and direction to show you guys. There's a TON more melody to what we're doing now.

It'll take a little time, but all that matters to Shawn and I is that we're back together as a team. Being that it is what it is...yes...music is truly a wonderful thing... :D

Yeah, I've been practicing again and the inspiration is no longer forced. Playing has become a habit again. :)

The doc was pretty proud of the work his team did. So it looks like I'll be good to go in another five weeks.

Sounds like a perfect time to go FISHING.

No, really, I'm serious. Fish bite better when the barometer is below 30, and that always means cloudy, rainy weather. Check it and see. Clear skies, high barometer every time. Overcast, it's dropping. Rainy, it's below 30. That's when you find me on the lake.

When I lived on Sam Rayburn in East Texas, that's when I would go load up the boat. Clear skies, forget it, I'd stay around the house. But when rainy weather rolled in, I wanted to be on the water soon as it started. I caught more big bass in the rain with a poncho on than anybody else in the area. Something about low barometric pressure makes them feed.

That sounds like it was a pretty serious injury. I was laid up in a hospital bed in California for eight months once. If I didn't have my guitar I would have gone crazy. It was still pretty much of a downer.

Yeah, I hear ya Krul & Slacker, but I used to race supercross & motocross at the professional level for quite a few years. I know more than a thing or two about gettin' hurt and recovering. Get the f*ck back up and keep goin'!!!
