Hayden, I bought one new about 5years ago. Mesa makes better cabs than any one knows. Just plug a marshal or fender in and hear how GREAT they sound.
Also have one of mesa's 4/12vs,,,Completely different kickass sound.

I love their amps but I think their cabs are over the top.

The only problem with them is you need a dedicated 117lb cutie to help haul them around.

That is a tight rig. That's how I prefer to play...cord to amp, with an occasional footswith tap. Don't know why I even bother plugging in my Digital Delay.

Good find J, should be a sweet sounding rig. I like closed back cabs too, that's the only drawback to my Super Reverb, I have trouble gtetting the lows like I want. My old Kustom 2x12 sounds great, but it's 4 ohm so I can't use it with the 2 ohm Fender. Boy does it punch out some good bottom end though...like a 10 foot bulldog behind me...I love it.

I've heard JW's Mesa rig, it sounds pretty good at low volume, and I've heard a couple of them at stage volume, I think you'll like it. All the ones I've heard sounded really good. I'm still partial to my old Fender though...wish I could find an old Bassman or Showman head to run through the Kustom cab, I'd probably be near nirvana onstage...tried to buy a 70's Bassman from a friend in Texas but he wouldn't sell it, all it needed was tubes. Sounded good with worn out tubes, I can only imagine what it would sound like cranked to 10 with new 6L6's...OOOh Yeah....

NEW TUBES, DID SOMEBODY SAY NEW TUBES.
Very overlooked thing about why great tube amps start to sound weak.

Basic cabs,,, I think Mesa has everyone beat on that front.
That cab J bought is worth $100 more right from the start.
Once you hear it, Can't put a dollar amount on it.

Put it in the hands of someone like Haley....FO GED BOUT IT.
