Have you ever just started strumming your guitar with no direction or indication of where you were going and all of a sudden you're singing and playing like it's not you? I don't mean high or drunk, just responding to your heart? It is so awesome what the heart can produce. Even your voice changes. WOW!

Shabah, I understand perfectly. There is a place inside that holds all the magic and when we can feel enough to unlock the door, the music just seems to flow on its own. I call it playing from the belly, where I can reach down into my viscerals and tap the power of my emotions. And you're absolutely right--it seems to take over the voice and the instrument and give our music character and substance and spontenaity.

Glad to hear it isn't just me.
