Ahhh! I just had the movers move me in my new apartment today, and on the top of my flawless Ampeg cab was a tear clean to the wood. I also have a few on my Marshall.

How do I properly fix this? Superglue was a no-no. Vinyl tape was also a no-go. I just bought a vinyl repair kit for car seats and doors but haven't used it yet.

Will the repair kit work, or is there a better solution than that? I don't want my cabs to get worse and can't afford cases for them.

My amp guy showed me how to do it with super glue; you have to massage it until it's smooth, you can't just stick it on.

Something that works even better than super glue...gorilla glue or sumo glue. In this case I'd use gorilla glue. You have to get everything nice and clean, then use just a small amount spread evenly over the areas to be bonded (don't use too much because it'll ooze). Ever since gorilla glue has come out, I've used it for so many things that it's crazy.

Seriously man...it'll work. I have a nice Ampeg stereo cab too. If someone did that to mine, I'd probably hurt them especially since you can't get them anymore and they were incredible cabs. Mine has Vintage 30 Celestions in it too...

Gorilla glue? Cool! 8) I'm on it!:D I'll need super glue or epoxy for the damned input plate they broke in the back! :x

Yeah, my Ampeg was a limited edition cab that still gets 5 star reviews to this day. Came out in the early 90's.

Somebody dripped something down my grill too. The speakers didn't get hurt...thank God! Didn't notice this until late last night so I couldn't call anyone out on it. And they must have hit it hard, because that vinyl is thick. Makes my Marshall look like paper. Now, I just noticed cracks where the input cables go, barely touched it, and the damned plastic fell off.

They should pay for this crap.

Pardon me for the schizo typing, but I'm seeing red about now.

CAUTION:

If you get tears on your tears the glue won't hold.

Yeah, don't put super glue on your tears, you could glue your eye shut.

Maybe gluing my eyes shut would be a good idea so I don't give my amp water damage.

You know it's funny Sans, the only thing I didn't move myself was that cabinet. So all my other equipment is safe, thus, keeping me from getting a homocide case.

So this is what Emo feels like? I hate it.
