Mary J., made it hers, and brought some soul into it. That's what a STAR should do, when they cover other artists... MAKE IT THEIR OWN!

That was pretty much all Beck, but she is a really good guitarist, no doubt!

Beck is just INSANE though, isn't he?

He's one of the most well-rounded guitarists I know of. He can do almost anything, lead or rhythmically! And always puts his own style in there!

If I am not mistaken, there is a tear on MJB's cheek.

The music industry says it's OK for women to play acoustic guitar. But the lead guitar is a phallic symbol and it's almost porn to watch a woman rip up a good lead. Ever heard of musical masturbation?

I know I'm going to take grief for this, I'm not some Neanderthal sexist pig, and I welcome links that would prove me wrong, but I have never heard a woman play a solo that at best didn't make me think "pretty good for a girl". I'm not talking about shredding which I think this Orianthi does better than a lot of guys. I'm talking about that real muscular, meat and potatoes hard rock style of lead like a Paul Kossoff, or Angus Young solo. Neither of those guys is known as a real speed demon, but there is something in the aggressive way they attack they fretboard, and their shivering vibratos that sorry to say, I've never heard a lady approach yet. Like I said, I would love love to hear a link that proves I'm full of crap
