This is how socialistic and communistic societies spring up!

Jealousy of those who are more successful.

"We should just TAKE what they have!"

When I was 12 years old, and traveling on the road in my mother's band, sometimes we lived well, in nice hotels with the best food in the city, and other times, there was little work, and we were poor.

My step father (My mother's band manager) would give us $5 bucks to get food occassionally, and the band would end up going to a McDonalds or some other fast food, and spend the whole $5 bucks there. But, I would save my money instead. However, when my step-father found out I was doing this... and their money ran out, he would just TAKE my money.

So I learned to NOT save money as a result, because I knew he would just take it from me if I did.

So I changed strategies, and next time they went to the McDonalds, I looked for a FOOD STORE, where I could buy much more for my $5 bucks, and have plenty of food, not only for that meal, but have dry stuff, like cookies or crackers saved up, for when I was hungry other times, and there was no money.

Well... they would eat their food in a few minutes, and that was that, but I had food saved up for a few days worth, later. But when my step-father found out I was now hoarding food I had bought... he just took that too, and passed it around to the band members.

So... Next time they all went to McDonalds - Guess what I did?

I went to McDonalds too!

And wasted my $5 bucks, right along with the rest of the irresponsible adults!

It was spend it or lose it!

Irresponsible behavior BEGETS more irresponsible behavior!

THEFT, only creates MORE PROBLEMS!

It NEVER solves them!

Gee...I thought that attacking the present policies without offering anything of value as an alternative WAS an action...that the obvious hypocrisy in her teleprompter rant as she looked at her hand for notes WAS an action...that hanging onto an argument in the press that gas been answered in the press previously WAS an action...that pandering to ppl's patriotism while spouting her hatred WAS an action...that trying to derail us from making progress in an area we as a nation want to progress WAS an action...I see I'm totally wrong now! THANKS CRAIG for straightening me out on that!

Okay...lemme try this...she became totally tongue-tied, saying stupid things like "Our nest-door neighbors are foreign countries," when asked why her state's proximity to Russia gives her foreign policy experience

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nokTjEdaUGg

On the Bush Doctrine (you know, the one where he decides that pre-emptive strikes are the best way to handle national security issues), when asked to describe it, she says "His world view?"

On the bailout, defending Bush, she says the bailout ultimately will help those concerned about health care reform (!), that it'll help shore up the economy, job creation, reducing taxes (!), reining in spending (!)...she just wanders when asked specific questions as if she has Alzheimer's & has forgotten everything except what she practiced in front of her mirror.

On McCain's history of voting, she cannot back up her claims, promising to do it later.

On her bridge to nowhere, again she uses distractions rather than to answer any questions.

On lobbyists, she attacks them even as she admits to using them.

What does she read? Everything! "A vast variety of sources."

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NrzXLYA_ ... re=channel

She cannot name any our founding fathers, save Geo Wahington?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AZY188bNw4Y

On Jewish expansion into Palestinian territory, & Afganistan, & the economy (note how she flip flops on health care reform here after saying it's needed, above) -

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VXuBIyJsbCE

She can't even answer those safe questions from those who want to promote her! She confuses Iraq & Iran.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gwmJY6oB ... re=channel

She rambles on yet again rather than answering questions from the friendly O'Reily.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tgWqz95J ... re=channel

Fact-checking from the AP concerning her "Going Rogue" book showing various "untruths." She blames Obama for Bush's bailout. She tells us here & in interviews with Limbaugh that Reagan faced a worse recession than Obama's. Her claims are not true, but she calls this AP fact-checking "opposition research."

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fn9HTUnd ... re=channel

So yeah, Craig. These are some of the things that make ppl think she's a dingbat. She's uninformed, at best, & at worst, a huge negative for our country. All the while she spouts naught but negativity & shows time & again that she has no alternative plan, other than to regurgitate the standard party line of "tax less, regulate less, & let the market be our guide." She's clearly ignoring the fact, as both you & Glen do, that it was the deregulated market that got us into the mess we're in, economically.

Trying to hide her ignorance in such obvious ways doesn't tell me that she's smart. Distractions & disruptions are not the way to MY heart. I dunno about you. Each & every time she's faced with the media, she falls apart in one way or another. Her emotions get the better of her intellect, & she just randomly spouts about this issue or that, when asked specific questions.

Ppl that cannot handle public speaking should not be in gov't. Ppl that can't answer simple questions shouldn't be in gov't. Ppl that cannot talk about a single issue without distracting & rambling on about erroneous topics should not be in gov't. Ppl that lie & feed us misinformation? These are the ppl we want OUT of gov't!

She might make a good right-wing comedienne, Craig, but even that's stretching things, when you look at her in the larger frame.

I hope that I have answered your challenge in a satisfactory manner. Please note that I haven't attacked you personally for your views, or called you dishonest or even deluded. I really should rectify that...

A gift for you:

They "are" actions.... just not actions proving her to be a "digbat" which was the original criteria of the challenge.

Non-Issue.

The term "Bush Doctrine" was likely made up by a journalist. And it has come to mean different things depending on which journalist was writing the story. I am pretty knowledgeable about foreign affairs, and I struggled at first to recall, what the hell "Bush Doctrine" meant. I am quite sure, she understood Bush's philosophy of security... and all that was really important was that she understood McCain's foreign policy agenda, right? She was McCain's running mate... not Bush's.

And personally I prefer a preemptive strike, to sitting on our hands while an enemy builds an arsenal of bombs and eventually nuclear weapons to attack us with.

(snipped other non-applicable examples)

No, you didn't.

But I appreciate the effort. Honestly.

You "HAVE" however, proven, that she was uninformed on a number of issues. But I already admitted that, and so has she.

That's why, as she claims, she is honing her foreign policy knowledge, as we speak. To rectify that deficiency.

At least she is pretty honest about herself, and works to improve her weaknesses.

As I have said... you have a very valid case, in opposing her as a Presidential candidate. Bob opposes her as a presidential candidate too, and I don't think he and I have ever really argued strongly about her... but then, Bob hasn't insulted her with untrue claims... that she is a "dingbat".

You oppose her as a Presidential candidate.

I accept that.

I respect that.

Going to extremes, and calling her stupid, when she is CLEARLY an intelligent and capable woman, is what I oppose. It is untrue, and wrong of you to use such terminology.

QUESTION:

How is she LESS INTELLIGENT than either you or Phil, and yet INCREDIBLY more successful?

ANSWER:

She's NOT less intelligent than you or Phil.

You have to have a good degree of intelligence, to go up the ranks from Councilwoman to Governor, and then have the highest approval rating of ANY Governor in the ENTIRE COUNTRY.

Since the election, she has written TWO BOOKS, became a CONTRIBUTOR on one cable show, then parlayed that into being a HOST of her own cable show, then became a CO-CREATOR and DEVELOPER of HER OWN SHOW!!

POLITICS:

Councilwoman
Mayor
Governor

MEDIA:

Best Selling Author
Paid Contributor on Cable
Host of her own Show
Creator of Her Own Show

She's risen through the ranks in EVERYTHING she's done...

...From politics to the media, And she has made a fortune doing it... ON HER OWN TERMS!!!

And you take that as a sign of her lack of intelligence?

If you honestly believe that makes any sense...

Image It is YOU who is the MORON!

she had ghost writer bub. and yes i do believe a pretty face can rise thru the ranks with merely average intelligence. it's about networking. gdub did it. WOW she became a contributer on fox "news." and u have to spend money to make money. and the health care bill is projected to make its money back relatively quickly and then some. not to mention bush put us there in the first place. war is expensive. glenn beck rose thru the ranks and he is a complete moron. twisting history and spewing rhetoric. she made a fortune robbing ppl with speaking fees. im glad cali stood up to her. and lets think about how much easier it would be for the governor of a sparsely populated state be have the best numbers based on statistics. she would be much less likely to be so highly touted coming from a state with a larger population. good degree!?! i plan on going to med school w/ my bio degree, that's good. she has a bachelor's degree in communications and she had relatively poor grades in college that's why she went to so many different schools. i would love love love for her and i to take the act together and see who scores higher. or the mcat, lsat, iq test, lol roshack, whatever. i bet she sees a bunch of rogue mavericks. it's like saying that nickelbag are amazing songwriters because theyve risen thru the ranks to success.

i want nothing more than every single person in this country and abroad to thrive finacially, emotionally, and every other ly. health care reform doesnt start until 2013. federal taxes are actually at an historical low for middle income families. theres a high risk pool being set up by every state to help ppl who have been turned down for insurance and kids staying at home til age 26 are being included on their parents insurance. those are the only parts of this bill currently being mandated.

Yeah... rise to the casting couch for Baywatch, but NOT to the Governor's mansion.

In any event, Sarah Palin's IQ is estimated to be about 120, which puts her in the "Superior" range.

Bush, whose SAT's were 1206, and were higher than John Kerry's, translates into an IQ for Bush of around 129.

Similar to Palin.

Both are in the "Superior" range of the IQ spectrum, meaning they are NOT geniuses, but certainly score well above the national average.

Interesting, I've had my IQ tested several times, most recently in Sept.2008. It's always right about 137. My intelligence type is "Analytical Linguist". If it weren't for my brain I would be dead.

That's right below the genius range (depending on which test is used).

I suspect you could be slightly higher than that.

But it has always been clear to me that you have a very high intellect.

The highest I tested was 155.

Which sucks, because with some of the revised tests, the genius range would begin at around 160 , rather than 140!

That doesn't make me happy!

While walking down the street one day a "Member of Parliament" is tragically hit by a truck and dies.

His soul arrives in heaven and is met by St. Peter at the entrance.

'Welcome to heaven,' says St. Peter.

'Before you settle in, it seems there is a problem. We seldom see a high official around these parts, you see, so we're not sure what to do with you.'

'No problem, just let me in,' says the man.

'Well, I'd like to, but I have orders from higher up. What we'll do is have you spend one day in hell and one in heaven. Then you can choose where to spend eternity.'

'Really, I've made up my mind. I want to be in heaven,' says the MP.

'I'm sorry, but we have our rules.'

And with that, St. Peter escorts him to the elevator and he goes down, down, down to hell. The doors open and he finds himself in the middle of a green golf course. In the distance is a clubhouse and standing in front of it are all his friends and other politicians who had worked with him.

Everyone is very happy and in evening dress. They run to greet him, shake his hand, and reminisce about the good times they had while getting rich at the expense of the people.

They play a friendly game of golf and then dine on lobster, caviar and champagne.

Also present is the devil, who really is a very friendly and nice guy who has a good time dancing and telling jokes. They are having such a good time that before he realizes it, it is time to go.

Everyone gives him a hearty farewell and waves while the elevator rises....

The elevator goes up, up, up and the door reopens on heaven where St. Peter is waiting for him.

'Now it's time to visit heaven.'

So, 24 hours pass with the MP joining a group of contented souls moving from cloud to cloud, playing the harp and singing. They have a good time and, before he realizes it, the 24 hours have gone by and St. Peter returns.

'Well, then, you've spent a day in hell and another in heaven. Now choose your eternity.'

The MP reflects for a minute, then he answers: 'Well, I would never have said it before, I mean heaven has been delightful, but I think I would be better off in hell.'

So St. Peter escorts him to the elevator and he goes down, down, down to hell.

Now the doors of the elevator open and he's in the middle of a barren land covered with waste and garbage.

He sees all his friends, dressed in rags, picking up the trash and putting it in black bags as more trash falls from above.

The devil comes over to him and puts his arm around his shoulder. ' I don't understand,' stammers the MP.

'Yesterday I was here and there was a golf course and clubhouse, and we ate lobster and caviar, drank champagne, and danced and had a great time. Now there's just a wasteland full of garbage and my friends look miserable.

What happened? '

The devil looks at him, smiles and says, ' Yesterday we were campaigning.. ...
