Ok.....Sheeesh. "I'm Moving Out". Yes the Billy Joel musical. OMG it was so good. The actors did not say a word. It was all acted out to the music that the band was playing on a stage way above them. You totally forgot about the band up there and just focused on the actors after a while. The songs were the complete songs of Billy Joel and it was AMAZING how the songs strung together made a story! It was so good. Granted that was my very first (and only so far) "Broadway" type show. There were definitely parts that moved me to tears. Must be my ability to lose myself in music. :)

Paco De Lucia, Al DiMeola, John McLaughlin live at the Chicago Symphony Orchestra hall in 2003. This is one of the most moving performances I have ever been to. I nearly passed out when "Mediterranean Sundane" came on.

I've seen so many concerts there. And they've been the best. It is absolutely a gorgeous venue.

That must have been killer. I have their "One Night in San Francisco" album that was recorded a long time ago.

I've DiMeola solo and with Return to Forever and McLaughlin with the DSO but never saw Paco.

Yeah Jimmy it was. I have been a big fan of this trio. I credit Al DiMeola to be the main influence why I picked up the guitar. Seeing him live with 2 other icons recharged my inspiration meter for years to come.

I was always partial to McLaughlin myself but liked Al as well. Well, until I saw him live the first time. The keyboard player made some minor error and Al chewed him out on stage. Embarassing for everyone there.

Some of you find it embarraasing that it was a mmusical, I find it embarrasing that it was U2.

P.S.
Another great outdoor concert location is Red Rocks ampitheatre outside of Denver.
Acts as big as the Beatles have played on that stage, and a person can go there anyttime a concert isnt happening, and run around on the stage.

But, I digress...
