Listening to the antics of politicians inspired this yesterday. I need to do the finishing touches on the recording.

The Politician

You’ve spent your whole life telling lies so it’s really no surprise
That you’re trying to steal our freedom, before our very eyes
You‘ve made yourselves the ruling class, you think you’re royalty
And you’re living large on the money, the money you steal from me
Well I sent you there to fight for me but for me you have no time
So I’m blowing you off lawyer, may God judge you for your crimes.

We believed you when we sent you, though trust based on your lies
We thought you’d do the right thing, and for this we’d fight and die
Our fathers served and died for you, to keep freedom in our land
Now you’re working hard to steal it with your lawyer slight of hand
You think that you’re above it all, you can really make crime pay
But let me tell you politician, you’ll be judged by God some day

You know Fate has ways to work things out are you really unaware
That what goes around is coming around but you don’t seem to care
So enjoy your lavish lifestyle, flying high without a clue
God will bring you down in time my God is watching you
But you can’t kill my spirit no matter how hard you’ll try
And I’ll see you there on judgment day even politician’s die.
