Hahahaha Sans.
Yeah this is interesting stuff. I just wish other folks who have posted some amazing tracks as regards quality would chime up too.

You got Laine, Esieme, Craig, Sentient, a whole host of other people. How many times have people said the sound was rubbish live, or like me the recording sucked. I just learned something else too just this minute. The Volume was out on my synth. This made a huge difference and while its second nature to sound people wouldn't it be nice to at least know the basics?

Hi DB.
Many thanks again for your help. Slowly my thick head is getting around this. At least I now have some sound coming through the pipes and not air :D

Very nice demo you have up there Sir. Thanks very much again.

Thanks Chippy. That demo was just a rough live feed from a rehearsal, direct from the mixer. We wanted prospective bookers to hear what we actually sound like live, instead of a multi-track polished demo. Sort of a “truth in advertising” kind of thing.

We also produce original song demos to pitch to producers, but they are multi-track deals. The competition is so tough these days, if your demo doesn’t sound radio-ready, it doesn’t even get listened to.

Welcome. Yes that is becoming apparent now almost as if venues know people have the gear to record a good demo but like you I want mine when complete slightly raw and live sounding too.

I just realized another mistake I was making. I am allowing fat zero headroom in the mix which makes life impossible when it comes to mastering. Hahahaha. I did read one article where one chap left -29db in the mix but I thin thats way under-cooking now from what I'm learning.

I have a free software application called 'JaMin' it does just about everything Wavelab can do, here's a link for future reference but of course it only runs on Linux at present.

Right off to create some headroom so I can reduce it hahaha
Thanks very much again and good luck with everything, pleasure meeting you.

DB I gave up.
I can do a lot of stuff believe me but today was a total washout. I don't think wires belong with some software frankly.

Anywho this was a bee of a track in the first instance, I'll just let it be too. Folks seem to play it despite the volume/resonance problem.
I'll get to that sometime when I have a hands on Tutor.

Thanks very much again.

No I didn't. I slept on it and came back to it. I did post a message down in the dungeons of this forum asking anyone if they had tried a product called Har-Bal. Basically a Graphical Equalizer with a difference.

I don't like looking at just numbers I want to see what the numbers are really doing so this might be right up my street I think? I did look for a demo but it looks as though they do not provide one which is really strange.
Anyway, just to let you know DB.
Thanks again.

ps. What I have now is much improved, its just that there is so much going on, not what I intended at all. Cheers.
