Hello,
so I've tried to capture the beauty of my boss ce-2 clone and after a little trial and error I think I came up with a decent rendition.

on my profile is a new short entitled 'beautiful breeze'.
It's nothing 'blow your mind' or anything... just some nice chords with a chorus sound...
please take a listen and tell me what you think.
in the scope of a good clean chorus sound how does it fair?

Well, mine sure doesn't sound like that, Mike. Perhaps it's the modified telly? The pedal sounds sweet to me, so far, but I'd like to hear it with an acoustic, too, cuz that's where I use mine, most often.

It's a pleasing sound Mike. That's about all I could interject on the subject.
There are so many different effects and combination of effects that the meanings to it all alludes me.
Got a Musicians Friend catalog in the mail the other day.
There are just too damn many stomps / effects on the market.
All claim the same thing with cheesy slogans and meaningless descriptions.
" You'll sound just like slashes brother in laws sisters cousin with this pedal. "

I love the way you put samples up to HEAR.

Damn all this THICK CREAMY XTREAME BOUTIQUE CLASSICAL TACTICAL DESIGNER BULLSHIT.

It might be a bit, but I'll def try to get something acoustic up... kind of interested to see what it sounds like too!

that recording was my ibanez jem 77fp, not my tele. It's def got a sweet 2 and 4 position.

really only about 6 categories...
distortion/overdrive/boosters/fuzz
delay/echo
reverb
chorus/flange/phaser
tremolo/vibrato
wah/autowah/filters

I hear ya... there's a ton of toys out there! Lots of folks have made careers on just a gtr and an amp... but then which amp?
tube
solid state
tube pre with ss power
ss pre with tube power
rackmout
combo
handwired
tube rectified
solid state rectified
tube reverb
digital reverb
el84s
6l6s
12ax7/12at7/12au7...
5881s
1x12
2x12
4x10
1x15
4x12
modeling
hybrid modeling plus tube
... I guess if someone might buy it someone else will surely make it!

I found something the other day that I have been "envisioning" for several years... I had no idea it was available.

Its called a "Uni-Vibe"... and it was apparently designed to simulate a Leslie speaker. It has an expression pedal on top for manual speed control or can be set to sweep at a variable tempo.

What I "Envisioned" was a Stereo Chorus in a Wah housing. Fulltone made one in stereo, still makes one in mono called a "Deja-Vu"

I'll give your pedal a listen today... but I was waiting for the fuller acoustic tones myself. Tele's Bite!

I am familiar with the dunlop univibe... my buddy has one... vnice.
very difficult build or I'd have built one myself by now.

afa fuller acoustic tones... I'll have to get on that... but for the record this recording was not recorded with my tele... it was my jem 77 in the 4 position so it's a bit more like a strat in that position.

Beautiful Breeze is a very appropriate name. That chorus sounds very nice. About 4 years ago I bought a Boss Super Chorus and I have hated that thing. I wish I would have taken it back while I still could. It just does not have enough modulation. After that I am afraid to buy a Boss chorus.

thank you sir.
yeah, the super chorus is no good. the ce-5 isn't bad tho... lots of highs...
boss invented the chorus... and the analog chorus's they make are considered by many to be 'the best'.
that's why a real ce-2 'silver screw' (the one I cloned) will run you in the $200 range if you can even find one.
