Bruce Springsteen's Alleged Affair with NJ Wife Look-Alike

Bruce Springsteen had an affair with a 45-year-old New Jersey housewife who ran next to him at the gym, according to court papers filed as part of her divorce proceedings. Weirdly, the Post reports she looked a lot like Patti Scialfa, his bandmate and wife of 18 years.

The other woman, Ann Kelly, didn’t hold down a job, instead she spent money on self improvement measures like plastic surgery and a gym membership at the Atlantic Club, where she supposedly became acquainted with the singer beginning in 2005. Papers submitted by her husband Aruthur Kelly, who's seeking the divorce, say Springsteen would stand at the end of her treadmill and told her she had the "nicest ass" in the place. Soon the singer and his gym buddy were having lunch, and bringing her two kids along.

A the pair got closer, the liberal leaning blue-collar icon gave Kelly, a conservative, books to read and told her he’d thought about her while on tour, the documents claim. He personally delivered front-row tickets to attend rehearsals, after which Kelly told her husband’s mother "It felt like Bruce Springsteen was singing to me." All the while Aruthur Kelly was aware at least of an infatuation with the singer since, according to the papers, Springsteen was a frequent topic of conversation in chats with a marriage counselor.

In 2008, the NJ woman was spotted dining with the star, while her spouse was undergoing open heart surgery in Cleveland. Allegedly the wronged husband decided to call it quits after Kelly and her famous beau were seen kissing in the fitness center’s parking lot, though she’s still has never admitted having her relationship with Springsteen was sexual. Meanwhile, a source says the Boss and his wife are chugging right along. "Bruce and Patti continue to have a terrific marriage and are very devoted to each other and their children," said a friend.

Actually, I do!

I have an ex that loved Springsteen, and constantly talked crap about any music I liked. For example, she always made fun of RUSH, which really pissed me off. I still remember her telling me how BEHIND BLUE EYES by The WHO were the stupidest lyrics she ever heard. Being a nice guy, I never dissed anything she liked.

So yeah, I would enjoy hearing your Springsteen rant. :P

I shared this before, but...

The drummer in my mom's old band, drummed for Springsteen for awhile, when he played as "Dr. Zoom and the Sonic Boom" and "ThunderChicken", and they would practice in Asbury Park, NJ and he told me that Springstein had SEVERAL girlfriends who would play Monopoly onstage, waiting for Springstein to leave rehearsals. So, this guy obviously has ALWAYS been a player, in more ways than one. I really wouldn't care, but hey... If you can't commit, why lie about it and get married, only to f*ck up someone else's life?

Seems pretty selfish.

Come to think of it, pretty much everything he does seems to be about benefitting himself over anyone else... including his own children and family.

Now, Craig, you're assuming too much. You don't know if he has an open relationship with his wife, or if he ever even promised faithfulness, yet you're willing to go on record assuming flaws in his character, & that he's a liar & a cheat. You also have no idea how he treats his wife & children.

It's all in your head, once again.

As far as his music is concerned, I never really got into it that much.

I do remember reading that Harry Chapin told him to do one show for himself, & the next for a charity, to paraphrase, but I don't know if he does that or not.

I'll bet that the words "liberal leaning blue-collar icon" really caught your eye, though, Craig!

DO try to keep in mind the meaning of the word "allegedly," preferably before you start throwing your insults at someone, or publicly judging his character.

You have no idea if this is true or not, but you sure love to look down your nose & judge ppl, doncha?

Really? Were you at his wedding? Are you privy to his personal info? Were you there when he cheated & lied? Do you know what he does or doesn't do for charity? Does he not provide for his family well enough for you, or what?

Or was it god that told you all about Bruce, Craig?

I just love how you always resort to saying things like "Apparently I know more about" nearly any given subject. I don't think you know squat, bub. I can see that you read an article, but that's about as far as your knowledge goes. But you sure like to play the Pharisee & judge everyone by 'Craig's Laws of right & wrong,' though.

Didn't Jesus say something about that?

The very least you could do is to preface your judgements with something like, "If this is true, then..." But, no, your judgements are absolute, whether you're right or wrong about someone.

Any woman who knowingly gets involved with a married man should realize that it's just a matter of time before they become the victim. Remember, Scialfa was going with Bruce when he was still married to his first wife. Karma's a bitch.

Finally.

An intelligent comment about this.
