Three area musicians went on a mushroom hunting expedition years ago. They found some and cooked them up for supper. The lead player died, and the other two were very seriously ill. But they survived.

You had better know your mushrooms before eating them.

Quite true, SG. That's why I only eat those I can absolutely identify. In my area, there are none that can be confused with the morels.

There's another one around here that some ppl really like. They call it a "beefsteak." It supposedly tastes like beef. It's one of those that you hafta get in a certain stage of its growth. If you cut it & it releases this white milky latex lookin' stuff, it's good. If it's dry inside, it can hurt ya. Nah. I won't mess with that one...

Sylosibin shrooms have a hollow stem a yellowish sunbirst color on top with a velvety purpleish color underneath and down here HAVE to be growing out of cow sh!t and the cattle have to be grain fed. The best time to find them is right after a rain.

Chippy if you want a lot of hummingbirds plant a Trumpet Coral Honeysuckle vine and in 2 years you will not beleive how many will be around your place. They like it so much they will nest close or even in your yard. Do not plant them in a pot though they don't do well in pots. Plant it in the ground in a well drained area in semi-shaded, sunlight about 60% of the day it will bloom even when it is below freezing. I would check to make sure they are considered hardy for your area. I am pretty sure it is. Mine was blooming all the way through this past winter. Our lows got below 26 degree's numerous times.

Everything I own is now a greenish yellow as the hardwoods and the pines dump tons of pollen into the atmosphere.

Might be time for the ol mower! :D All the small bushes have leaves on them now, but the trees are hanging on for a while as yet.

BEES. I got BEES! Loads of em too, that's a really good sign. Where I was before as some of you will now was 'hell farm'. Anything that lived nearby was cut down except insane Roosters. Oh on that note. It's not a lie. I went to a park recently and sure enough the roosters howled at me. Happened a year earlier too in a small town where they yelled at me from different locations around a small village.

A little bird told me huh?
Big Bird Did. :D
